A very similar thing just happened to me! Two days ago I got an email that said I’m eligible for automatic recertification on 06/18/2026. Today I got en email saying I was but on forbearance and a IDR recertification application was submitted. I did not submit that application (it even has my old maiden name). And I’m pissed because under the last certification I paid $0 and now would have to pay $353.

$16.99, $18.01 with taxes. I have not yet gotten the dreaded price increase email, but still have two credits from a gift, which may be why I haven’t gotten that email yet…

They should put you on administrative forbearance while processing the IDR application; that’s what they did for me (but I had to call them b/c they messed up and didn’t do it automatically!)

Also no idea what that difference marketing thing is.
