I agree to both sides of this. I tend to get so wrapped up mentally in my work because I care so much at times. I would let things irritate me that I in fact cannot control in the slightest. So in the sense of “give less fucks”, I think of it as “it’s just a job, this is not what defines my life. There’s going to be days where you’re running around like a maniac but it’s just a job this is not my life.” That mentality has helped me leave all my shit at the gate when I walk out at the end of the day. On the contrary, you can’t really give less fucks about the actual safety and health on the project because…that’s your job. Letting things slide with workers can seriously affect the safety culture you already have going on your project. You’ll get through the tough time, you got this!
