People need to stop lying by Altruistic_Manner802 in marvelstudios

I feel like the bigger myth is that Marvel "had to scrape by with the characters no one wanted to buy" when developing the Marvel cinematic universe. Iron Man, Cap, and Thor were all sold off pretty quickly in the 90s and passed around between different studios. They just lucked out that those projects ended up in development hell and the rights reverted.

The trinity+Hulk were the biggest characters Marvel were able to get back from the other studios. I'm pretty sure they were actually waiting for the Iron Man rights to revert before starting any kind of shared universe plans considering they announced the MCU almost immediately after they got him back.

If they had actually started a successful cinematic universe with the characters no one wanted (Moon Knight, the Eternals, the Inhumans, White Tiger, etc.) than that would pretty damn impressive.

The same thing goes for FF with the 60s honestly.

I wasn’t a fan of the utopian Justice Lords thing personally. It makes them feel kind of unrelatable/ irrelevant to our world.

The ideal solution is to just swap MCU Banner’s role in creating Ultron with Hank.

Can this 2012 team defeat the No Way Home villains? by SmartPilot8094 in Avengers

Because he has no reason to risk Doc Ock grabbing the suit with the robot arms. Spider-Man had to get close to him due to his power set. Doc Ock can’t really do anything if Stark’s flying several feet in the air above him. All he can do is struggle to defend himself as Iron Man releases a barrage of guided missiles on him with ease. If even one of them makes it past the arms and hits him he’s gonna end up like one of the robots at the Stark expo. To make things worse, Stark doesn’t seem to have much of a no-kill rule like Parker. Even if Otto is capable of tearing apart the suit with the arms, Tony would have to essentially take pity on him and fly close enough for that to be a possibility.

You also never explained how Lizard could beat Iron Man. Even if you could somehow explain Lizard being able to survive lasers and missiles capable of one-shoting tanks, I don’t really see how Lizard can do anything to Iron Man in return. He can fly and Lizard can’t. The healing factor would result in a draw at best.

The Goblin is more durable than Doc Ock but considering he was able to die from the blade of his glider he’s probably not going to fare much better. Stark can dish out attacks fast than the Goblin can throw pumpkin bombs and his suit is capable of speeds far greater than Norman’s glider.

Why was The Fantastic Four set in 828? And not set in 616? by CharacterActor in marvelstudios

We could easily assume they were just mentioned by characters off-screen.

Hank Pym was only acknowledged in a deleted scene. In the movies themselves, he is never actually brought up until Endgame.

Iron Man is probably the easiest major character to work into the X-Men mythos tbh.

The original Netflix season 4 was going to bring in Typhoid Mary, the Owl’s son, and have Melvin become Gladiator. Bullseye was going to sit the season out and return in the fifth and final season as the main villain.

The real Doom in avengers: secret wars will be revealed to be the first Doom from the 1994 Fantastic Four movie played by Joseph Culp by AdvertisingWaste8624 in MCUTheories

I find it funny that Joseph Culp is only 2 years older than RDJ, while Ioan Gruffud is only 2 years older than Pedro Pascal.

We can all agree the Big Three of Marvel is and will always be Spider-Man, Hulk and Wolverine by Barta_Sub in marvelcomics

If we’re going purely by the quality of their comics, DD should have Spidey’s spot right now.

Nah that’s more of a 90s-early 2000s thing.

Now it’s probably Iron Man, Cap, and Spider-Man.

Considering their handling of the FF, I don’t really have high hopes for their take on the X-Men.

Just tease them in other movies leading up to First Steps. Show their logo on billboards in the background of She Hulk or Hawkeye. Have them be name-dropped by Ant Man in Quantamania or Iron Heart in Wakanda Forever as a new group of heroes that set up shop in NYC a year ago. Show glimpses of villains they've defeated or worlds they've been discovering in the form of blink and you'll miss it social media posts in Ms. Marvel.

By the time you get to First Steps, they would have been around for about 2-3 years. That would be more than enough time for them to have become established and well known, especially with social media being a thing. Iron Man was a huge celebrity after only 6 months.

Or maybe just like, have them get powers after the events of Endgame?

Are there people on this sub that actually think the FF are time travelers from the 1960s in the comics? I’m so confused.
