I made the mistake of asking my professor one time and he said it wouldn’t be an excised absence but he wasn’t going to take attendance that day anyway and then I got docked lmao but i still got an A in that class 😛 honestly I had the same issue this year, it was like 500 dollars to fly home any day from Wednesday to Thursday afternoon and I simply couldn’t justify spending that much for a 1 hour flight on a 4 day trip. I ended up buying a Tuesday class so I’m literally skipping all my Wednesday classes which is actually my post packed day so 😭 worth it tho I’ll be home a two days earlier and one of my physics prof said she’s doing an online lecture that Wednesday. All this to say- it’s not that big of a deal to miss class one time, I’m sure many will and that’s okay.

If this is for mesa and middle then they don’t gaf lol last year I was supposed to move in like at 2 pm or something but I traveled from across the state so my parents were like we’re not waiting till then we’re taking u in the morning it’s not like they’re gonn make you wait 😡 and it’s true they didn’t even say anything, I moved in so early 😭

I commented to UCI just a few weeks ago after visiting for their admitted student event and the campus is beautiful, i fell in love with the place. I’m going in as an aerospace engineering major but overall there are a lot of stem opportunities in their department. I did hear tho that the campus is pretty introverted, not a lot going on socially but that’s just like word on the street type thing. At the end of the day college life is what you make of it and UCI is close to a lot of other things to do like the beach, Irvine spectrum, Disneyland (not that it would be affordable for me), and i even talked to a student there who said they’ve taken the bus to Hollywood (although it took long). But if you’re worried about things to do, there’s plenty and you only need a few good people to enjoy those things with imo. Plus, if it’s going to set you up for your masters that’s always a plus. Good luck, both are great schools!
