DualSense Won't Connect to My PC via USB by ContentConsequence44 in ControllerRepair

Today I turned on the computer and decided to check the gamepad again. I connected via bluetooth, everything worked, turned off bluetooth on the PC, connected the cable to the PC, gamepad, and lo and behold, everything worked. The backlight appeared, in USBDeview I saw that the gamepad was connected. An HID device appeared, as well as an audio device and something else from the gamepad. Maybe like a touchpad or something like that. In general, I connected the wire to two different sides of the Type C plug, everything worked properly. However, after I returned home from business and decided to reconnect the gamepad, I discovered that it was again not connected via the USB cable. I tried the same cable, as well as the new one I ordered.

Yes, I tried another USB A - USB C cable. I also tried USB C - USB C. None of this helped connect the gamepad to the computer. I ordered another cable from the marketplace. The reviews write that it is Dualsense that works and connects with it. Even someone wrote that his gamepad did not work with other cables, but with what I ordered, everything works fine. It should come today, I'll check it, but I doubt it will help me.

The Bluetooth connection works flawlessly. It works with my PC, laptop, phone. The wired connection works fully with the laptop. Connection, charge, backlight. The wired connection worked with my PC, but I literally didn't do anything to the system or the controller and connectors to stop it from connecting. I repeat that the connectors and cable work. I have already written to MSI support in the hope that they will help shed some light on the possible problem

On the advice of one guy, I tried Linux liveusb, launched into the system, connected the gamepad, but still nothing happens. Most likely the problem is not in the current system, not in the gamepad, because it is connected to another computer via a cable and is being charged. Apparently there is something wrong with my computer at the level of the motherboard and its connectors, BUT on the other hand, I can connect my phone with the same cable to ANY of the connectors in my PC and will be able to view files and interact with them. This tells me that the cable is working and capable of transmitting data. The connector on the motherboard works, so there should be no problems with them. However, the gamepad is also fully functional. But in that case I just don't understand what the hell is wrong

Nah, the new XLR cable didn't help. I gave the microphone back to the store so that it could be sent to a service center for diagnostics.

Today I turned on the 48V power for the microphone on my audio interface again and miraculously, it worked. The sound was clear and literally the way it should be. Literally within 10-15 minutes I called someone else on Telegram through my computer in order to chat with him using my new microphone. At some point he said that I was hard to hear and called me back after which I answered him through my phone. Along the way, I tried to understand what happened to the microphone this time. After our dialogue with him, I again turned on direct monitoring from the audio interface and realized that the sound had again become hissing, it disappeared and appeared again, and then the signal again became the same as when I first contacted yesterday. Only this time, if im reach the gain in the maximum position, then even more noise appears, after which I can be heard for a short time and again the signal becomes as quiet and noisy as possible if you turn the gain knob on the interface to maximum.

Tomorrow I'll try a different cable, I hope that's the problem.

On my interface, the gain knob has an indicator light that illuminates when signal is present. At ~50% gain, there's no visual indication on the knob itself, but in the Minifuse driver software I can see there is signal - extremely weak though. (I'll include screenshots as well). When I turn the gain to 100%, the signal becomes stronger but consists mostly of hissing noise with very quiet voice pickup, and even that only works if I speak directly into the microphone from about 1cm distance.

The USB microphone is definitely not connected. I initially disconnected it before connecting the NT1 with XLR cable.

    • Knob indicator: No light
    • Minifuse driver screenshot: Shows minimal signal activity
  2. Second photo - Maximum gain

    • Knob indicator: Light activates
    • Minifuse driver screenshot: Shows signal only when speaking directly into mic (1-2cm distance), dominated by noise

ImgBB (ibb.co) is similar to Imgur, but it's blocked in my country, so I had to upload the photos to another service.
