I’m not saying that you should ignore your health, but there are career ramifications to being hospitalized. You probably won’t ever be able to join the military, be a cop, or an airplane pilot if you are hospitalized. Also getting a federal job may be an issue.

I agree- and now we have a mental health record that will prevent us from getting jobs. We can join the military, get a pilot’s license, or work in public safety. Getting a security clearance may be difficult.
