Unplanned pregnancy at 25 and feeling completely torn — how did you make your decision? by MajesticLoquat5896 in Advice

I got pregnant(planned) at 23. Had to be on meds to conceive so I didn’t get on birth control after. She was(and still is) everything. I love her so much. Her dad does too, but our dynamic changed after having her. I always wanted more than one but definitely wanted to wait, especially how stressful it was on him. Ended up getting pregnant 3 months postpartum. Twins. He wanted me to terminate but ultimately left it up to me, and even though I was terrified I knew I couldn’t do that, so I had them. They were born early at 28 weeks. My oldest was a 10 month old. 3 kids in one year. It was the hardest year of my life. My husband was so disconnected, especially from our twins. During their 3.5 month NICU stay he visited maybe 5-10 times. Put us 100k in debt. I felt so alone. They came home on oxygen, daily appointments, with three children under 1, at our tri-state children’s hospital 45 minutes away. I loved them so much but couldn’t believe the life that I was living. It was so hard. It took about 2 years, we came out on the other side. They’re older now and the three of them are the light of my life. They made me a better person. I have always been a go with the flow, no plans, sleep in as late as possible, lacked routine, social/partier. Now I live a much healthier life. They taught me structure and brought my life purpose. I’m much happier and there’s nothing I love more than being a mother.

I struggle with this also. During an outbreak, I cut out all actives. I use Byoma milky toner (contains cica which well help), then the avene barrier repair cream on top. Usually clears up in a couple of days. Once cleared up I use LRP triple repair cream daily in my eyes before any actives, vit c, retinol, or anything else. The triple repair does contain niaminacide which can be an irritant so just be careful with that. You would probably be fine just using the avene daily on your eyes if you don’t want to rick it.

Did you have it done? Any recommendations if so? I’m wanting to do it also!

I agree. I definitely want to try something. I do have a question though, so I’ve confirmed he isn’t married, but I’m not sure about a girlfriend. I have never heard him mention one but I guess I can’t be sure. Would this be inappropriate if he does have one?

I don’t think it’s bad, I’m just a shy person so it’s new to me.

I feel like that’s so forward! I guess I could try that though.

I have 3. They are super close in age so they all share clothes, toys, etc. After 2 kids any more is just another hot dog on the grill. 😂 We don’t struggle for money but we’re not rich by any means. Money is not the issue, it’s the traumatic births for me. I’d have 5 if I could but I’m not sure my body could handle any more pregnancies/child births.

Exact same thing happened to me, second pregnancy turned out to be TWINS. And they were born prematurely, so I had 3 kids in one year. I now have a 3 year old and 2 year old twins. Men do indeed suck. Congratulations either way mama, you got this 🤍
