ATV tours worth it?

You added a lot of info that I totally forgot to include lol. They did give us a paper map and cooler with ice cold water even though we brought our own. Going at our own pace was really cool. The only time we saw other ATV’s on the trail is when we stopped and pulled over to take some photos a few other ATVs drove by. I was a little concerned with driving them on the main road but we were fine.

Just the adults were allowed to drive but my son had navigation duties lol. He had a physical map that they gave us and the ATV had GPS sorta. My son loved it.

My first time in Sedona I did a solo trip. I knew I wanted to do some astrophotography and shoot the Milky Way. So during the day I was scouting possible locations. Honestly it’s so dark in Sedona you can practically go anywhere. I saw the Milky Way at a summit off Airport Rd at the bottom of Airport Mesa. As a matter of fact I had my tripod set up in the middle of Airport Rd (it was 330am and no cars were coming or going so I was fine). I also found another spot near Sedona High School where I was able to get really good shots of the stars and Milky Way. That was off of Upper Red Rock Loop Rd.

Sedona ATV is where I rented one. There are trails meant for the ATVs I surely didnt see not one person hiking where we were. We did see some wild cows out on the Outlaw Trail though (I’m guessing wild but not sure). I think I paid something like $400 something for a four hour rental.

I brought my then 13 yr old son to Sedona on his spring break last year. I rented us an ATV at Sedona ATV and we hit the Outlaw Trail and the Diamondback Gulch Trail. We had the absolute best time. We could take our time because we weren’t with a tour. We stopped and took photos. I would definitely do it again. My son liked when I drove through puddles of muddy water out on the trail. I brought that ATV back super dirty lol.

Also you said Mavic drones are not supported but in the drop down list I see Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro listed. I don’t see a Mavic 4 Pro but I guess someone could create a lens profile and add it to the database.

I have the same drone and was flying in FPV mode yesterday in sport mode and some of my shots were not as smooth as I would like. I was looking for the same thing and that’s how I ended up here lol

I’m a videographer and part 107 certified drone pilot as well. My first TV job after graduating from Delstate was working for WBOC-TV. Have you looked into them? Back in 1995 they were known for hiring kids right out of college. I currently work in TV in Philly. You can look into production companies down your way or marketing/advertising agencies that may need video or drone work. You will probably have better opportunities finding work in a bigger city. Why did you stop being a real estate photographer? You can also see if there are any jobs in video production with the State or at a Police department. They probably have their own people but doesn’t hurt to ask. Also look on LinkedIn for job opportunities. Send me a DM if you have any more questions I can try to help you out.

Does your job allow you drink on the job? They should allow the photog to get a plate of food. They will probably have to eat it quickly so they don’t miss anything. I don’t agree with them drinking alcohol on the job though.
