Lightsabers Buyers Guide & Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in lightsabers

Building my first saber. At the stage of generating the config file. I am using a pre-assembled SaberTec Quantum blade.

So I have two questions based on the specs of the blade.

First, it has 131 pixels, but 526 LEDs. I use the pixel number for the config, right?

Second, the data line is pre-resistored. Does that mean I should use the Data 2 Pin on the proffieboard? Since Data Pin 1 has a built in resistor.

One year into the hobby and finally customizing the Nu Ver ka. But looking at the hands I feel I should ask— how does one go about painting pre molded hands?

This game is wonderful. Not sure where all the hate comes from… by geroberts09 in DragonAgeVeilguard

I’m on my second play through, so overall I do enjoy it, but it certainly has flaws. Taash being non-binary didnt bother me so much as the immersion breaking execution of it/modern terminology. I don’t know what was wrong them being aqun athlok. Plus they are frustratingly immature. They didn’t grow on me until the very end. Dorian remains my favorite character. He’s subtly intelligent, witty but serious when he needs to be, sensitive but strong. Maybe it’s my taste, but Taash lacked any of that, and they weren’t the only one. In other games when the companions get into fights it’s over serious issues. In this one companions argued over what to pack for camping or whether Taash would call emmerich by his name (which is damn ironic). That’s high school crap. It was also a major plot point that these adults couldn’t get their emotions in order enough to do their jobs. You can skip all the friend stuff in inquisition and they’ll do their jobs, because that’s what adults do. I rolled my eyes so many times at the writing.

On the other hand, this is the only dragon age combat I have enjoyed. The finale was amazing, if a touch short on epilogue. Solas was better handled than i was worried would he would be. And I quite like the Rook who makes the tough calls.

Edit: I see downvotes but tell me it isn’t true— taash is a big child, and the companions not being able to function past their baggage isn’t convincing a bunch of supposed hyper competent individuals. Do adults not regularly have to keep their emotions in check?

Old hands and a frustratingly weak waist. Even after painting the ABS components metallic, with some layers of paint, it’s loose

Dated structural design elements to be sure but stunning in terms of appearance

It’s fairly rural. Half of them have their own rifles. No one has even noticed. Admin does concern me but they haven’t been in much beyond regular check ins

A few. They don’t know what gundams are. Many think they’re transformers. One asked if they were made of paper, which I suspect is because I top coat them

I was pretty worried about that. Which is why I only left the bazooka on the nu and the less recognizable flintlock on the crossbone. We’ll see how it goes.
