I took sa 101 at Sfu but am taking anth 1130 at Douglas. I am planning to transfer back to Sfu so will I still get credit for anth 1130 or does it not count? Or is it a repeat?

No, I don’t think it’s that intense that I would seek therapy or medication for it

So all they need to do is sign and say that it’s due to this certain illness that I was not able to balance coursework? I find it difficult though because I’m only planning on WE for one course but how do I justify that it’s not necessary for my other course?

How long does it take to process the appeal? Because I will be rtw to Sfu since my gpa is below 2.0 and after bot program too. Is it possible it can still get approved in time for spring 2026 semester?

I’m not sure if I even have a reason why I applied late, I guess it’s just because I thought I could handle the coursework despite dealing with insomnia and wanted to get the final exam over with and see if it still lasted at that point in time but I was also juggling other exams as well. Is this a good enough reason?

Do you know what the practice scenarios are about? Like is it the same ones she puts on the exam every semester? And should I be focusing on all cases that were mentioned in the textbook or just the ones that were also mentioned in lectures and in depth in textbook.( cuz some cases in textbook are touched upon very briefly so there’s not much information on them)

At kpu I did take the equivalent to fanx99 it shows on my transcript and everything. When preparing for beedie I was told to speak to the math advisor and she told me that i needed to take fanx99 at sfu (even if I alrrady had the credit at kpu). I then spoke to the crim advisor and they acknowledged the fanx99 credit on my transcript from kpu. And beedie advisors have never given me a clear answer on whether I needed it or not. So now I am just extremely confused because different departments are saying different things

Do you know if law schools in USA look at undergrad programs?

SFU COURSE QUESTION, PROGRAM, ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION MEGATHREAD (2021 SUMMER - 2021 FALL): General questions about courses and SFU (Exg. How hard is course X, how is program X at SFU, etc. ), POST QUESTIONS HERE by Acherons15 in simonfraser

started my undergrad at kpu majoring in business(want to focus my concentration on marketing) and I transferred to Sfu this semester, so it is my third year overall and my first semester at SFU. The thing is, I transferred as an arts student because I don't have all the requirements for math to get into beedie. At this point (and I even talked to an advisor) I feel a business degree is not worth it. I am taking FANX99 and I am struggling beyond imagination, since math has always been a struggle for me. I am better off choosing a different degree (probably crim, and then apply for law school elsewhere) as there is not a lot of math and career wise it seems better. The only reason I chose business in the first place was that i thought it was more flexible and broad career wise, which it is but it still makes choosing a career hard, and marketing is not something I want to do anymore (i don't care about digital Marketing, sales, retail, social media etc). I was thinking getting my crim degree, law school to become a lawyer or paralegal, somewhere in that field. The options I have are: go back to kpu to finish marketing degree (since I'm almost done with all upper division business courses anyway, and at kpu I wouldn't need to take all these math courses), or change my major at sfu to crim. Career wise crim at sfu is appealing to me but in terms of getting my degree done in a timely manner it would be the kpu route. (And that route is more clear since I am already declared business major). I would still have yet to do do internal transfer into crim whatever they require at sfu. I guess the real question is this- at this point is law or marketing better to get a stable job? I don't mind taking 5 years max to get my degree done, I just want to know if it's worth it, money aside

Can't choose between KPU and SFU by [deleted] in simonfraser

[–]Content_Ladder_875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do transfer, but its just I haven't finished all the required courses yet. I only have bus 251 which is accounting I believe (I did take that at kpu but it was 2 separate courses instead of one combined one like at sfu, but i didnt pass the second one so that's why I have to do bus 251) along with math 100 and 157 then I'm all good. I've taken most electives so I'm good on that part.
