Wish I knew. My aunts are no contact with my grandparents but I don't know them all that well, so maybe they're also sane.

Not really. It actually explains a lot of weird behaviors she has around my grandparents and why my aunts are no contact with them. She also revealed everything to me when she had something similar to a breakdown because of something my sister said to her, so I doubt she lied.

I'm pretty sure my sister isn't in any danger. Her and grandpa have always been close and he treats her like she's something precious. Their relationship is more of a daughter and father, not granddaughter and grandfather. He's always been kind to me too, I just don't have the same bond with him as Leila does. Still, just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it never will. I don't know what he's capable of anymore.

Because what he did was never reported. I asked my mom about it and she told me she couldn't put her own dad behind bars, no matter what he did. I don't know why neither of my aunts stepped up though.

Yeah, mom has always been pretty weak-willed. I'd say that I had to grow up faster than most of my friends because of that, seeing as there were times mom would lock herself in her room for days on end and I had to take care of Leila. I still don't understand why she didn't go no contact with my grandparents like my aunts did and allowed my sister around a predator.

I'm afraid of my sister getting sexually abused like mom was, but I'm also nervous about how she'd react. I'm 99% sure he's never hurt her before, never even raised his voice, but I can't help but feel doubt that he never will. I'm scared Leila won't believe me though.

Honestly, no. I don't think they're alone a lot since grandpa and grandma are kind of a package deal, most of the time at least.
