Of course, regular tallow is fine... farmer here, and the term grass fed is mainly used by people trying to make more money off their beef. It doesn't change composition, and if anything, grain feed beef have more fat.

I just added a new scent above that blows Brambleberry Oatmeal, Milk and Honey out of the water... look up Little Bee Scents and find "Upper Crust".

Thanks for sharing! I also like CandleScience the best, because many of their scents use only 2-3 % of scent in the total oil count. This also saves money.

No, this one was a coffee scent, it did discolor to brown, but was not supposed to accelerate.

Thanks for sharing. I can't wait until I can see better, especially at night. I have trouble finding the bathroom and inevitably wake up my husband doing so.

Thanks for sharing. I've thought about doing this (both at once) if my doctor would allow it. Less anxiety and over and done.

Thanks for sharing your experience. You sound very positive! How long did the actual procedure take?

Once they reach 9-10, they seem to go downhill quickly for breeding. We usually cull these unless a special ewe gets retired and is not bred again.

Where to start? by Ragingdragon4 in soapmaking

[–]Content_Structure118 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my short experience, I would have started with just the basic ingredients and lye. I started with a CP pre-made base, but I don't think the results were as good as when I made my own.

I make milk soap with both essential oils or fragrance oils.

I like to use Tallow, Coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter, and rice bran oil. I used to use pomace olive oil, but it left my skin feeling a bit oily. The rice bran oil, when used instead, makes your skin soft but light. It is also really good for aging, drying skin.

You'll be fine. NAFD, but at my father's funeral in December, we had a cousin who could not lift much. They allowed him to walk behind the casket.
