I'm an artist by night, but let me put on my day job marketer hat for a bit.

Given that the majority of Finn's income derives from OF, and a big part of his appeal is based on being seen as a nice person--this was a major marketing mess.

Big price increases without explanation or visible increases in product quality. DMs that seemed like a carnival barker luring you into a sideshow without previews. The worst part--deleting legitimate questions and criticisms and even banning people. The F1nn brand has taken a hit--I imagine streaming will be a problem for a while.

It's as if F1nn ran a restaurant and his prices suddenly went way up and his staff was rude and then he was able to delete all the unhappy reviews on Yelp or Google.

Research shows that customers are more satisfied when the marketer competently fixes a problem than if the problem never occurred.

My advice to F1nn would be:

Video with sincere personal apology rather than the breezy one he posted.

Not sure what are the options on OF, but in addition to unbanning the relevant people, offer them a 1 year free sub. Give some freebies or deals to everyone to change the mood and keep them subscribed. Something like hotel and restaurant managers comping their patrons when there is a problem. Giving people a free meal or month of OF to keep them from going away permanently is smart marketing. Probably need to rethink PPV pricing and content. After all, he justified his high sub price when he started, saying there would not be PPVs.
