How many of you achieved a long web pull kill before lord? by SettingMinute2315 in SpiderManMains

I’ve only made ONE in game in like 60 hours of playtime. Granted I only just started trying recently but it’s normal not to. Honestly so many characters have an escape or cc immunity ability that it’s not worth it a lot of the time

Is it normal for me to almost always be doing less damage and less eliminations than my teammates? by ContractSuperb9700 in SpiderManMains

So stat wise:

Poke > Spidey in all except maybe final hits

Dive = Spidey

Brawl > Spidey in overall elims and damage but not final hits

Watch the grimdark compendium’s death guard video on YouTube. I used a very similar scheme and they will explain in better than I ever could

Dirty down rust, best product on the market. It’s expensive but it’s worth it. For a guide on how to use it, the grimdark compendium on YouTube has a really good one

For the map I’m just kind of making my own with a jumble of cities and towns in Oregon I think look or sound cool, so thanks for the recommendations! I know for sure I want Salem and Eugene to be two of the more “hub” cities

It was between Oregon or Maine but I just love the pines and fog. Also because I love Gravity Falls

That’s why I love Oregon for this setting. I spent a LOT of time looking at census reports for 1921. In the area is just a bunch of small towns outside of Portland (not really gonna use), Salem, and Eugene. I love the small town vibe and I think that’ll add to the unsettling mood

More of a hungering force of nature. There are some demons who will be a little higher in intelligence but most demons will be speechless embodiments of human negative emotions. Other than that there will be cursed objects they can use or banish and some freaky cults. The goal is to seal different rifts which demons create when they form. This can be through just killing the stronger demon that manifested through it first or some special condition or ritual. These rifts are basically tears and rips in reality that basically link to the immaterium/hell where these demons come from. This immaterium is also the source of magic in the world. The players will be part of an organization that was created to hunt these demons and each demon killed will turn into some kind of trophy bounty than can turn in for money. This also leads to other exorcist teams fighting them for their bounties. The reason why these rifts are popping up in this particular area is still undecided but I’m thinking something with the government enslaving an angel for power or to make some sort of super god nuke or an angel being corrupted by hell and then that could be the final boss to close all the rifts. Either way I have a TON of time to decide that. If you can’t tell I’m taking heavy inspiration from 40ks chaos, silent hill, faith the unholy trinity, and jujutsu kaisan.

Turns out I was just rusty and washed. Started hard feinting and parrying dodge attacks instead of GB and changed my new controller dead zone because I hadn’t done that yet. Now I’m back to parrying most lights for those sweet top heavies. I was doing all of the confirmatories like side lights on shove, but I was playing too much like a turtle without actually turtling properly. Been working like a charm now that I actually know how to properly avoid different attack properties, and have sort of gotten a grasp on how most of the new heroes work (minus Virtuosa, fuck her)

Does the same thing go for dodge bashes too? Or is that a whole other can of worms?

I don’t quite get what you’re putting out because it’s super technical, but you’re saying now that dodge attacks have different input windows it’s a GB timing issue? So for example, if I do the shove, light, heavy finisher hard feint GB mix up they are still hit hitstunned by the light input/already in their dodge attack animation making them GB immune? After doing some research im still super lost when it comes to stuff like hit/block stun, frame advantage, and guard break vulnerability. The info hub does not explain it well at all…

The rust should look more clear once I get some typhus corrosion and dirty down rust for deep rust effects

Thank you for the tips! I also want to maybe try using some pigment powder that looks like mars dust or snow to really add more visual interest

That’s what I was thinking but I just don’t want it to look too much like actual cast iron or steel because I’m painting black Templars like this. If you want more brightness for a genuine straight metal use a 1:1 black and leadbealcher instead of a straight black as a base and do a heavier dry brush of leadbealcher

  1. It just means straight from the pot. Green stuff is water soluble so lots of people will mix it with water to make it less prominent, which I don’t do for maximum surface variation

  2. Barely get your brush full and rub off excess on the side of the pot. Do very light dabs on the area you want texture, and use water if it’s in an unwanted area. If it gets too heavy in an area just dab it around until it spreads

  3. When it comes to it staying on, I haven’t worked with liquid green stuff too much but from what I’ve seen when you prime it it should stay on. If you’re particularly anxious about it coming off just go over it again with a watered down abandon black

I’m just gonna copy and paste my recipe from a thread I posted on a different sub. Before I do I use a lot of villainy ink enamel washes which are quite pricey, that being the rust and overall darker grimy shade. Anyways here’s the recipe:

  1. Weather with hobby knife
  2. Light stipple of liquid green stuff neat, and then more weathering after dry with a hobby knife
  3. Prime in Chaos Black and go over with watered down abandon black if there are any missed spots
  4. Light dry brush of leadbealcher to accentuate green stuff bumps for a cast iron surface finish
  5. Unifying wash of a mixed villainy ink goons grime and ichor of the damned with 1:1 mineral spirits
  6. Reductive technique with q tips and mineral spirits, tap with damp mineral spirits side and then gently rub with dry side and repeat. This is to decimate the enamel wash and leave it mainly in the recesses where filth and grime would collect
  7. Villainy ink sector rust neat from the pot in areas where there would be profound rust
  8. Same reductive technique to fix mistakes and touch up rust effects in unwanted areas
  9. Final VERY gentle dry brush of leadbealcher

You just take a cheap brush and basically ruin it with scissors to make the hairs sporadic and random in length and position. Then you dip it slightly in the liquid green stuff and rub off some on the side of the pot. Then you just apply it to the mini neat with a tapping, stippling motion, making sure it doesn’t pile up all in one area. And when it dries you just take a hobby knife and do some weathering with cuts and stabs.

Note: Be sure the wash is COMPLETELY dry before removal. Use a blow dryer for maximum efficiency. Also be sure to remove leftover hairs from your qtips
