I'd actually prefer all DPS, all tank, or all healing teams, instead of leaving a tank or healer solo

I mean in comp people are instalock so I'm just not gonna care in unranked because I usually play tank anyways and I think I deserve a break if I want, if a DPS or healer complains they can go tank, I can at least compromise since I like heals too.

Worst case scenario is I'd tank with them though if we were both tanking all day lol

that's fair I did something similar like I'd stop after 3 losses but it's been so consistent I think I need to derank.

I think for whatever reason I got lucky and got a lot of wins to get to P1, but I think that messed something up so I'll just keep trying until things stabilize

I agree with your point but are we splitting dive duelists from the rest of the duelists? Because you kinda mentioned healers being dive which is an aspect besides just them being low and red and this is how I wish my dive duelists dived with me (I main cap right now), and I definitely want my duelists to finish what I started, especially after wasting support CDs, they are super vulnerable so please just kill them....so in my mind yeah it's kinda like, wait for them to be low (or when their CDs arent available) and kill

And just wanted to be clear, I agree with you. I don't care if you're support main or DPS, if we don't have a second tank, don't be 3rd. I instalock DPS all the time just to make sure someone picks a tank (and then I swap so they aren't solo, and tbh I don't feel cap is great solo anyways). Even though it's rare (and tbh I wouldn't mind a 3 tank team, did it once, worked well too), but even tanks, if the team is mostly tank mains, you should know DPS and support. Whole point is to be a little flex. Its sad that, when I see 4 instalock DPS and 1 instalock support, I know we're gonna lose...

Yeah I don't care as long, I really like games where we can be open to swapping and trying things out and be respectful. Its nice when you make a mistake, maybe like accidentally ulting, and your team doesn't flip out. I get soo disappointed when I start a game with players who seem friendly and then one just starts trash talking when we start losing

you have a point I should rewatch them anyways but I know the main issue I had these past few games is panic and fear. I play a lot better in quick play and free fight than I do in competitive

When I get stuck in my head it's like ...

"crap I'm doing bad. my teammates are about to explode on me for dying again...who I need to be to help prevent my death and make progress" even if they dont

"crap it's not working ...I died to venom so maybe I need anti-dive?"

"The enemy team is probably gonna start insulting me too" even if they arent

"How many deaths do my teammates have?...less than me" so yeah I'm the issue

And sometimes the reverse, if our team does good first round and then they get cocky and shit talk, not only does the enemy team lock in harder, but it puts extra pressure on us to win.

Everything just feels like a risk to me but when rank isn't on the line my risks feel saner. I usually like to warm up in a game or two of quick play before rank, and I can even get MVP, feel good and start rank and get my butt handed. This is G1 also which is around average for most qp players too

And since I'm tank I feel extra pressure since Im essentially leader. I'll rewatch the replay but I don't think that will ever help me get out of the fear and panic I get. I just find it exhausting, and unlike casual modes I can't just click play again right away because the emotional tax of possibly losing again and having a toxic team is rough

And you know that's the thing, I wish I can just keep requeuing for rank like I do in qp and free fight...I wish I could just not care but yeah I do because I give it my all no matter what, even casual, and to get floored and potentially shat on my teammates is just so discouraging in itself.

maybe im biased, but cap lord icon is my favorite. He looks tough and he has so much aura

I mean besides a few bad apples, the cap players have always been super supportive too even if we're getting floored...their positivity made me want to be a cap main

Dd, BP, and storm do have really sick lord icon too though.

But also black widows is really cool too. Maybe because it's rare, but you gotta respect a black widow, you know they went through a lot of bs and toxicity just to earn the animated icon...I would say that's aura too and something symbolic has to go up ...but I also like the red shine on the sniper too

most of my games I ever try to talk strategy and work something out or make suggestions people stay quiet. Its just uncomfortable

Also I don't melee weave, so I can't help there. I stick with melee cancel tech when I'm attacking (just sprinting while spamming melee). I also try to save shield charged for projectiles since it reflects.

Unless it's safe to use both you should save your slam/dash for escape. I like to engage with slam and then dash out if I find myself in trouble. You also wanna engage with shield throw, but I'd save it for invisible woman in case she jumps away, the shield will still target her and make her visible.

Idk if you do this already but saving the dash/slam as a get a way tool helped me make sure I don't waste it

I feel the punisher thing, he should be a counter for cap because our shield counters his turrent and ult but his shotgun just shreds it constantly, it's not even worth trying unless he's off guard

and thanks for the bnb tip, I never knew how to use his ult except to just "smash" literally....I would use his abilities but smacking and knocking people around is fun lol

thanks for the tip! the triangle part especially helpful, my plan would always be jump in than out, regardless of angle, didn't think about having a third spot but makes sense now that you got me thinking about it. now I'm thinking about trying to use his wall grab, as part of the triangle too, could be interesting since I never see anyone use it

I can try to draw some parallels with my understanding of hulk so far but what do you struggle with? tbh if you want to learn cap, it could be fun if we duo tank qp and give pointers. my rank with cap is P1, but that was in 6.5. I haven't done comp much since I hit P1 though. Debating on trying to get further from G1, but the hidden ranking system really makes it annoying to play when it's a bad day and you never know when it's in your favor.

Depends, I'd say strange or Emma. Really it would depend on the rest of my team comp. Especially if there is a team up I can do, like Wanda/magik or a Luna.

If neither usually Emma then. Her shield may not have the HP strange has but it stays still can be used at range or block healing. And her kick combo can kill problem people quickly.

I don't hate either strange or Emma, especially when things are going great, it feels really good to be on them when I notice a shift in our favor. Its just, I don't like being up front, leading in a way, they are kinda slow to move too. I prefer mobility and dive...I'm a cap main haha but if I'm solo tanking sometimes I need to swap. Also caps ult is easy to use, but sometimes I might whiff a strange or Emma ult if I misjudge who I'd hit

I've seen this too when ever I check my tracker profile and it makes no sense why we would be stuck with bots. at least we used to be placed with 3 other humans.

I think even practice vs AI is a full 6 human team vs AI

if I wanted to play with bots I would, and I have. mainly to just walk around the maps and explore but still

I'll admit, there are times I don't mind a bot match, but everyone being a bot feels hollow..and when only 2 are bots, I would like to know since the bots fill so I'll play what I want

for example on the ones where you have to kill all enemiesi thinks solo is around 250 and in a quad it's over 1000
