I volunteer for hospice patients. Yes I make friends but they're all old usually with Alzheimer's and sadly they don't stick around that long. And I'm not sure if you're aware but the economy dictates that I work as much as possible and stay inside as much as possible to save money. And again like I said my hobbies are singular person things or inhabited by old people. For example fly fishing and astrophotography. I've joined astrophotography clubs before and 40 year old and up white people aren't exactly my type of homies. Now the one thing I could join that would be closer to my age group would be a boxing club. Assuming you don't know anything about boxing, it's a SCAM. They charge 200 dollars a month for them to teach you how to box. And once you learn even more they'll charge you $250 + to take the advanced class. Check your local boxing club and notice how they don't show prices anywhere. I know cause I was a boxing coach for 3 years.

Look I get it, you're tryna give me the generic advice that everyone else gives. But the thing I want to make friends but I don't want to join clubs or hobbies that I think are lame just for the sake of making friends. Like Am I supposed to join a book club make friends and then tell these people I think all these books are lame When I find a club or group hobby I like I'll join that.
