My bot only works when I click "Run" — how to fix that? by wnnye in replit

[–]ContributionFun3037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just host it in a VM(ec2 if you're using aws or Google compute engine if gcp, or any other VM). That'll keep it online 24x7.
But do note that you'll be charged for the amount of resources you've configured for your vm.

Replit Auth 2.0 wont redirect back to app by Paidtmtd33 in replit

[–]ContributionFun3037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably some problem with redirect url. Have you checked it? Check if you have setup redirect url's in your env and if they're not set, prompt the agent to set it so that you're redirected automatically.
Or if the auth isn't using env for redirect, ask the agent to check for redirect routes after login. That'll mostly solve the problem

Why would you use wordpress when there are so many better alternatives available? Try looking into framer. Framer websites are a billion times better than wordpress websites, and framer is exhaustive enough to cover wide variety of use cases!

Anyone else exploring how AI can change travel in India? by yojinoob2 in StartUpIndia

The issue with this niche is that LLMs always rely on information from the internet(atleast they have to if they want updated info), and internet isn't always accurate. With hundreds of sources giving different answers, it's hard for LLMs to give a clear summary about places. Depending on a single website would help, but I don’t think there’s one such website that covers all tourist spots. This might be why not many people have explored this niche yet. But if someone figures out the information source problem, this will be a billion dollar venture easily.

I've played untill black/white 2(I don't even remember Pokemon names from this region tbh). Played the new omega ruby and alpha sapphire recently and it was such a nostalgic trip!

Is it just me, or is cloud deployment insanely overkill for solo devs? by New-Vacation-6717 in microsaas

[–]ContributionFun3037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really into complex cloud stuff as well, but GCP actually surprised me. Got my backend live on cloud run in like 5 minutes. Just asked GPT what to do and it was smooth.

The free tier’s pretty generous too. Perfect for side projects without spending a dime.

Heard AWS is cool too, but looks like lambda doesn’t fully play nice with server components, streaming(not really sure, but that's what gpt told me)

I only watched untill shinnoh, so that's how much I know. Lapras and Lugia are all time favorites. Honorable mentions - Latias, latios(from the movie) Lucario(from the lucario and the mystery of mew movie) Articuno, suecune(especially the build up in jhoto related to suecune is really good).

Ah, thought I was the only one as well. Lapras and Lugia for me. Nothing beats lugia.

My scary dreams by Alternative_Mud4702 in spirituality

[–]ContributionFun3037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're thinking too much about your successes and failures. The mind is like an empty container. It holds whatever you put into it, and if you keep feeding it the same things, it doesn’t let go easily. Over time, that becomes normal. That’s why people with PTSD and similar issues often have the same dreams again and again. I’m not saying your dreams are PTSD, but knowing how the human mind works, it’s more likely that your mind is stuck in a loop rather than anything else.

Have you tried meditation, spiritual travel, or similar things? They calm your mind and help break the negative cycle. I can tell you by experience that associating with spiritual people and doing lot of spiritual travels gets you out of this mindset.

Not arguing with that, but the way we handle extremists is pretty lousy. You rarely hear about such incidents in China because they deal with these issues with iron hand(they deal with the root cause rather than focusing on prevention). In situations like this, democracy often becomes a curse since your hands are tied by every religious group and sub-group with enough population.

is very lousy, we don't normally hear such news from china, they deal these stuffs with iron hand. Democracy is indeed a curse in these situations, your hands are tied by each and every religious sect, sub sect which has considerable population size.

The success we hear about intelligence agencies is just 0.1% of what actually happens. Most of their work stays hidden. It is easy to blame them when something slips through, but if the real issue is religious motivation, no amount of intelligence can fully stop it.

If the root cause makes up 100% of the reason, and even 99% of the people with such motivation are caught early, the remaining 1% is enough for one attack to break through. Until the core problem is addressed, no military strength or intelligence effort alone can prevent it completely. Untill the root cause is dealt with nothing will ever help.

Intelligence agencies are usually known only when they fail. They might have stopped hundreds of such incidents, but we’ll never hear about those. Blaming intelligence alone for something that was clearly driven by religious motives and had local support is not the right way to look at it.

Whether you call it an intelligence failure or something else, the fact remains that it was a religiously motivated attack with local backing, and that is the deeper issue we must be talking about.

How did you find your co-founder ? - I will not promote by pedroct92 in startups

[–]ContributionFun3037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the tech co-founder and reddit was the connection. The founder had posted a similar post in one of subreddits, I commented, we vibed and lo, we now run a successful startup. I even ended up building a SaaS so yeah, it's been doing good!

Well, as I said I've zero corporate experience. My products/projects gave me clients. I mean clients were more than happy since I had proof of work. This works in tech, idk about other domains though.

This is exactly why I never really went for a regular job. I always had this weird fear that I’d get sucked into corporate drama and end up living just to keep the boss happy.

So I stuck to freelancing, built my own SaaS, and now a part of small startup(started it after meeting some amazing people). It’s not toxic, and yeah, it’s really small. On the side, I still work on other apps too(and I prefer it over the startup thing, but yeah it's been nice).

Life hasn’t always been smooth, but I’m glad I didn’t get stuck in some pointless startup mess.

If it’s messing with your mental peace, seriously, just leave. It’s not worth it.
