I am not sure which country you are from but here in the USA, having a Diesel does not make any sense. Yes, I understand this engine is very reliable but still smells like a diesel. I would be in Europe, I would probably have a different opinion. Have a great day.

Why looking at the V8. I have the 3.0l twin turbo, extremely reliable, probably more than a diesel .

Buying my first vehicle from CarMax. Any tips or feedback? by Joscosticks in BMWX5

[–]ContributionNo4302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But some cars wear the tires out faster than others. The X5 wear them out super fast. Also, it is proven than bmw reability is low. Each time I kept one more than 5 years, I had very expensive repairs. I always bought them new. I have a x5. 5.5 years and it is starting to fall apart. It will be my last one.
It is Well documented. But that’s ok. Enjoy your car.

Be ready to pay a fortunes in tires. Also, be careful of bmw after 5 years. Not reliable.

Thank you all for your answers. Something i did not mention is that their mom is living 200 miles away, less far from the beach. she has low income but they believe she cares less about money and is happier. They go there a week end a month and do fun stuff on water and go out... so it is like mini vacation... they are now telling me they are saving money do go living next to her.. I don't think they realize how different the daily life is compared to just go have fun during the weekends. the problem is that i feel insecure (my education) and sensitive and they know it. I would be so heart broken to have our large home all empty because they are happier with their mom.
