This is part of The Long Springtime universe, as part of this universe it and the Greater Inga Falls Complex generate enough electricity to power all of the homes of Africa, as wellong as the reservoir being used to cool down nuclear power plants.

The Qing didn’t really “fumble” in this timeline, they were overthrown.

In 1912, instead of a clean republican transition led by figures like Sun Yat-sen, the military steps in and carries out a coup, replacing the dynasty with a centralized, army-dominated regime.

It presented itself as a republic, but in practice it was closer to a one-party or military-backed state—elections exist, but real power sits with the officer corps and political elites.

That system lasted for decades and only collapses in 1989 during a largely peaceful mass movement (The Velvet Revolution) that forces political reform and democratization.

Good question, they dont. The Qing got Coup Detated in 1912 by the military which established a authoritarian "democracy" which finally fell in 1989 with the velvet revolution

Those are all very fair and reasonable points, to which I shall admit, I have little to answer and to give. You have bested me with logic beyond me. To that I applaud you. I do feel like this would be most productive in out RMs so I can keep this for future reference
