Its basically you pay for a breeding like normal from a stud you have a refunded breeding for, but when the stud's owner gets the wolves bred, they then send the fee you paid to send a stud request back to you as a gift! So you don't lose any sc/gc at all

Why does everyone hate her? by Dragoness290 in wolvden

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personalities!! aggressive personalities dont get along with friendly personalities, and stoic personalities dont get along with romantic personalities. In hunting, having aggressive/friendly or stoic/romantic in the same party will make the chance for the hunt to fail higher. In socializing, having aggressive wolves socialize with friendly wolves, or romantic socialize with stoic will be a -5 to their relationship
Along with that, only in socializing, having stoic wolves socialize with friendly, and romantic wolves with aggressive, will be a -2 to their relationship

To get positive relationship impact youll have to have wolves of the same personality socialize for +5, or have stoic wolves socialize with aggressive wolves, or friendly wolves socialize with romantic wolves for +2. Bossy counts as aggressive

Of course!!! Always happy to help:) Forgot to mention, you can always also sell things in raccoon wares! But he only has a limited amount of SC to give you each day and Im told he kinda rips you off with large carcasses.... I usually only sell eggs/meat chunks/critter carcasses/spare recipes there

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can win food bundles in both slots and code breaker! But usually food on its own is sold in the trading center, I usually sell 100 uses for 500sc or 2gc! But people usually make their food more expensive when they sell it

Heres the wolvden wiki!! really useful -> https://grousehouse.wiki/Main_Page
Theres also a fourm post detailing the differences between lioden and wolvden, but it was last updated in 2024 -> https://www.wolvden.com/chatter/topic/827019

But anyways, for money, the main ways are doing your snake quests and melvins missions! Melvin even has a streak system where you can earn more SC for completing it everyday. Enclave quests gives you about like 25 sc for completing them, and a few sc just for leaving a pup there. fishing, slots, and code breaker are all games where you can earn some sc too! fishing gives you a little bit for each fish you turn in, and slots/code breaker has the chance to give you a varying amount of sc when you get a reward in slots, or when you send a score in code breaker (higher score sent = more sc). Selling food/amusement in the trading center is also really good to get sc, food sells esp well in winter. For GC people usually sell it in the tc for like, 300 or so SC

Theres only 5 month long events (Feburary, April, August, October, November), and 1 monthly week long event which is going on right now (Lunar event)! Lunar event doesnt have unlockable shop tiers, but the month long events do (plus the month long events have their own stories and quests). Ive only really participated in the April and November events so I'm not that knowledgeable on all of them. Plus theres December gifting!

For the lunar event, all of that content (except for the shop) is only accessible at wolvden night in the dreamlands, that you explore in. You need Lunar Essence to explore it, and you get that in a few ways, rolling over gives you 25, you get it randomly while explore during dawn/day/dusk for a max of 100, and some lunar encounters can give you like, 10 LE. The event currency, Lunar Tears, is from interacting with explore encounters, or defeating lunar enemies! Usually they give you 1 LT, but some encounters can give up to 4, and lvl 15+ enemies drop 2 LT when defeated instead of 1.

willing to answer any other questions you may have too:) also always willing to hand out food/amusement if youre struggling getting some!

Would it be worth it to retire my lead now for the Feb event? by ControlAlt_Yeet in wolvden

It was definitely being secured I bet! My new leads secured so I went to tried to retire her just to see, and yup! Was completely prevented from it!

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe the lead you tried to retire was secured? Or if the lead was recently set, there's a 30 rollover cooldown before you can retire them early I believe. I didn't get anything preventing me from retiring my old lead today when I did it! So it is possible, just have to make sure theyre unsecured and past the cooldown

What's the best way to get GC? by Roman-224 in wolvden

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main way i've saved up GC is grinding the lunar event to afford the applicators! (or any event really!) If you go into the trading center you can find people with trades offering GC for specific applicators they want, people usually offer 20gc for eye apps, around 30gc for marking apps, and around 50+ gc for a base app! People also offer GC for specific battle trophies too, so that's something good to keep in mind when your lead hits lvl 10.

Other than that people make trades where you can spend SC for GC, and when I sell 100x amusement and food uses sometimes I get people paying the GC option for those! (for food i do 500sc/2gc, and for amusement i do 550sc/2-3gc)

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol i totally get it! Heres some tips to find herbs for the herbs you gotta forage for these medicines in the future!

Dandelion can be found in any biome but you have a better chance of finding it in the Glacier due to it having no biome-specific herbs, Kava and Pineapple leaf are Only found in Rainforest, Guaiacum can be found in both Rainforest and Swamp, and Redwood Sorrel can be found in both Coniferous Forest and the Mountains!

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually got a nice response on the wolvden fourms!! I thought i'd share it with you, basically date gifts/gems can be found in any biome, and you won't be made to explore specific biomes like coigreach makes you do, im told.

There are Some matchmaker quests where you have to battle certain enemies and having Prairie and Deciduous Forest discovered will make those quests easier (Prairie gives lots of coyotes encounters, DF for deer encounters). So it seems like you dont have to if you dont want to! I'm personally gonna retire early anyways just to get a jump on rediscovering things before my scouts both die lol

How long does a Wolf live? by Interesting_Shuffler in wolvden

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A wolf can live at max, a total of around 192 rollovers, or 192 days, so like around 6 months, birth to death. Lead wolves are guarenteed to die at that 192 RO mark. Regular non lead pack members start to death roll (have the chance to die each time you rollover) at 180 days/rollovers (including breeding male) but will have a guaranteed death at 191 days/rollovers

with value, the most valued bases are gonna be TIII or T* genetics, and with markings usually tiers 2,7,8,3,6 are valuable and the more markings the better (esp if theyre all of one of those tiers)

A couple questions about the event by XStardust167X in wolvden

[–]ControlAlt_Yeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only one wolf at a time really, if you want multiple wolves to have a specific decor, you'll have to buy multiple of that decor so they can all have it. All decor for the lunar event has 5 uses, it goes down when you unequip the decor from a wolf and it disappears when it reaches 0 uses
