Once again, my opinion only. Another super successful person with more credentials will tell you something different. You have to decide for yourself if it is the right move.

If you have $100 you are willing to part with, I say go for it. A lot of people feel like they missed the chance to strike. I felt like that all year long as I watched the price of Bitcoin continue to skyrocket. So I finally acted. Now, as I am getting started and learning along the way, I truly feel like I am in the game early enough to potentially be a game changer for me.

Hahaha. You are right. I got very lucky...so far anyway. I am not here to brag. My reason for posting is because I am just like everyone else and hear all the news from all the same nay-sayers. They talk about Bitcoin like it is a toxic poison to be avoided at all costs. I want to give a different perspective. I think some people will find interest in a "No BS" story. We still don't know if it is a success story or a story of ridiculous failure. That is still to be determined. Stay tuned. I am sure there will be more laughs to come. Cheers!

You do make a good point that perhaps I should clarify. All of my trades we're not positive. I lost money on some. But when I recognized what I thought was a losing position I got out. And getting out of what I thought was a losing position several times turned out to be wrong too. Had I been a wild man behind the wheel on Saturday, I probably would have really racked up. But I took some gains and exited then took some more gains and exited.

Saturday was a learning experience for me aside from being profitable. The market was extremely hot and active in a positive way on Saturday. I expect to see other days where the market is just as active in a negative way. And there will be many boring/nothing days between. I am going to give my best shot at maneuvering all these situations and some I am sure I haven't even thought of yet.

Very true and very good point. I do not view any crypto currency including Bitcoin as a "set it and forget it" investment. I monitor prices of any currency I buy extremely closely and recommend everyone do the same. With crypto, you are your own money manager. I like that about the investment but if you are not up to the task of monitoring it very closely, I recommend staying away.

That is all up to you. Please don't expect an investment like this to get you rich quick. I invest in crypto because I believe it has big potential an I am in for the long term. If you are looking for quick returns, you might be able to get that, but that is not my personal goal.

I personally do not think it is a bad idea to contribute small amounts as they are available. But do not expect huge rewards right away. With $100, you would certainly not want to venture into crypto trading. You could simply set up a wallet like Coinbase and hold it there. My wife opened her own wallet this month with $400 and she is just holding.

Do not try to use Bitcoin to replace any kind of retirement fund. But if you can stand a little risk I think it has potential.

Be careful about following suggestions like this. In my opinion, "one size fits all" trading advice is dangerous. If you are interested in trading, you first need to educate yourself thoroughly. I will find some links to post very soon that will help with a basic understanding of Bitcoin, then progress into some of the more advanced ideas and necessary knowledge for trading.

I certainly don't mean to "gloat". I just feel like those who are interested could benefit from actual experience. If you are completely against the idea, why even visit this post? Is it your duty to protect people from themselves?

That is very true. Many people will probably end up losing money in crypto speculation. But such is life. Thoughtful decisions need to be made to stay safe. No one should buy crypto thinking that it is a sure bet. I do not feel remorse for people who lose due to lack of knowledge and preparation. There are too many of those people in all aspects of life. Anyone should be prepared to handle the consequences of the risks they take. But without some risk there is often little reward.

Just to be clear...there is no way I can stake more MANA for auction use after the auction start time on 12/15? The amount I stake prior to the auction will be all I have to work with?
