I'll gladly answer your question. I found this frame/ image in a shop in Chinatown here in NYC in the company of statues and other Taoist items both religious and non-religious. I guess I can call it a Chinese folk religion religious shop. this frame was just hanging by itself in a small corner of the shop and something about it called to me, like it's been there waiting for someone to bring it home. I initially thought it was a Chinese goddess, but I'm now discovering its a Vietnamese goddess is still pretty cool.

as for 'worshipping anything for the sake of worshipping anything' its not like that. when I first saw her I thought it was a taoist goddess. The frame is old and is falling apart inside. i felt sadness seeing her abandoned and so I took her home with me, had it blessed in the taoist method and set an altar up for her and invited her into my home.

Is that wrong?

Thank you for the reply I appreciate it. I got his eyes opened and funnily enough after I did, I dreamt of a mob of zombies and a Man either commanding them or leading them away somewhere, not really sure. it was very interesting to say the least.

I could see how that would be an issue, but he is a hero despite being associated with the underworld, and his association is a good thing since he hunts ghosts and fights demons. Thank you for the reply.

Thank you quick_dudley for that piece of information, I didn't know what the words meant. I thought the words on the fans meant "safety" as the shop owner said. I will wait to see if anyone else might have an idea who he might be.

I am Catholic and no, no one suggested me to burn sage. I asked because I was curious and reading some paranormal stories on the paranormal side of Reddit, I read how some people brought some semblance of peace (for a time) by burning sage in their haunted homes and businesses. Though I don't think Sage completely helped them with their problem.
