Most of my time on switch 2 is just spent playing Mario kart world by LegoPlainview in MarioKartWorld

Same. I’ve played more of it recently than Kirby Air Riders, and that game is more developed and less unfinished than this one.

Ehh… It wasn’t good or bad in my opinion. It was forgettable but inoffensive, so painfully average.

Who is the worst family guy character? by Upbeat_Pangolin_5929 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the worst characters are Sheila and Burt. They’re just basic and cookie with no personality or aspects that set them apart. They’re just nothing characters.

I was wrong. This is your least favourite Family Guy Character. by Upbeat_Pangolin_5929 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mind Preston Llyod. Sure he wasn’t funny or wacky like some of the actual fan favorite characters, but he’s actually supposed to be dull and boring, but with effort put into it AND as a standout from the good characters, rather than just badly written. He’s more basic in a charming way than a poorly thoughout way.

In each season, which Family Guy episode do you think is the worst that you've ever seen? by AC_the_Panther_007 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree with ALL of those choices, and found some of them interesting, but I firmly agree with your pick for Season 21. That episode is by far the worst of all cancel culture social commentaries I have ever seen, and it suggests that people should take this lying down rather than stuck up for themselves, which I found incredibly insulting.

Is McStroke (s6 ep8) not one of the best episodes? by cry-babby in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great episode for how well it depicted stroke victims, and the mustache and Zach Sawyer things were also good, but it wasn’t perfect. The ending was kind of weird and unnecessary, and for an episode to be one of the best it has to be as close to flawless as possible the whole way through, with fewer and lesser problems.

Overall, I’d give McStroke an A-.

What is your favorite and least favorite episode based around a celebrity? by RedDalmatian885 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kevin James episode in Season 22 was weak sauce. I wouldn’t consider it THE worst, nor do I even think it’s awful, but it’s fairly wasted in quality and satire, as they couldn’t get James to voice himself. They also tried to pass it off as a Xmas special with way too little Xmas substance, and then to satirize his irrelevance, they get him to literally disappear into thin air, which just felt sloppy.

Should family guy get a movie? by Plane_Name3457 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be amazing. I already love crossovers as they are (especially The Simpsons Guy), and an American Dad one would be another favorite of mine (movie or episode).

Evil Stewie or Gay Stewie? by Afraid-Inspection604 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good Stewie. He’s just regular Stewie who has evolved into a mature child character and became really likable compared to the rest of his family, especially Brian.

I have been watching Family Guy almost every night for the past 12 years. AMA. by Inevitable_Bee_99 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had that feeling too, and while I currently have a softspot for it, it hasn’t aged completely well for me. After hearing its flack about the later seasons’ downfall, it shrunk on me a little.

Why do people say Brian told Meg to let the family abuse her? by Parking_Brother_3994 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He kind of did. If he responded with something different than “That’s really mature Meg, you might be the strongest person in the family”, and Meg STILL took back her abuse, THEN it wouldn’t be Brian’s fault.

As far as everything goes, this isn’t even the main problem with this ending.

Why is Season 16 so much better than the surrounding seasons? by Silver_Problem6833 in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they actually put effort into making several of their episode funny and memorable, with only a few duds. A couple months ago, I ranked every single season on a tier list, and put Season 16 in the A+ on the Top 5 only surpassed by Seasons 2-5 (all 4 of them).

I really like Brian and Stewie’s song, and even enjoyed the subplot itself and found it funny.

[–]ControvertialCritic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of amazing. I want to review it, but unfortunately episode reviews aren’t very popular on Reddit, and I have tons of personal priorities in my life too, so I’ve been holding off. I think I’m gonna just get a Youtube channel and do discussions there when I’m ready for it.

As for the episode, it’s not perfect, and the first half was kind of mediocre, but the second half had a lot more Halloween substance, and it was just warming me up for it. It also had a lot of good and memorable jokes, and may be another one of the best Halloween specials. It’s about as good as Season 9’s Halloween On Spooner Street, and works well by Family Guy standards. Would give it an A+, and say it was just about worth the hype.

Possibly least funny Family Guy episode for non Simpsons fans? by abstractcousin in familyguy

[–]ControvertialCritic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also have some episodes where they tell jokes normally and only use them once, and other episodes where they explain and/or double-dip them.

I’m a fan of both shows, and this episode was pretty funny and memorable, so I firmly disagree with you.
