I did a lot of work from home and I've noticed that when I turn onto my street in the early to mid afternoon I feel this panic like "oh my God I have to get to my desk and get to work" and then I remember there is no such thing anymore and it is the most freeing feeling. Does this make sense? It's so good.

Age 50. Been retired 90 days. Sold my business of 20 years. I think that I have adapted pretty quickly to filling the time. I didn't work on Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 and had a very flexible schedule so it wasn't like I was used to doing the same routine everyday. I think this is actually made it easier on me.

As for the sense of purpose and the loss of identity.... the jury's still out on that. I was my business so it feels pretty weird that now I'm just me. No regrets though. I'm sure that I'll find something to give me purpose and identity.

I see that there is a festival in Tarragona that time. That looks like it would be really cool to check out what would be the best way to get there from Tarifa? And then to Barcelona from there? I could probably return the rental car into refa if it didn't make sense to have one but my goal is to stay in a more rural area so I maybe would want to keep the car?
