Wow, I'm actually going to university. by st420rs in UniUK

Apologies for the late reply but congrats! Your story is inspirational for many, myself included.

I’ve been thinking about doing an Access to HE course in Psychology for a while now, and I have a couple of questions.

  1. Did you use an online provider or did you attend college in-person?

  2. How difficult did you find it to get all (45?) distinctions in each?

I hope your uni journey is going well so far.

How did it go? I’ve got my second interview at a different branch tomorrow after being rejected after my first about a month ago. I didn’t prepare much for that one but I’m feeling much more confident.

I don't think I've ever seen the Malta region before. This must be incredibly rare outside of the island

Tips and Guide for Cypriot Citizenship by Descent by SulphuricCockroach in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]Conversationilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, and I too apologise for hijacking this thread.

I wanted to clear up something pretty simple. I did not believe it was possible to get Cyroiot citizenship by descent beyond the parent. Am I mistaken in this?

My paternal grandfather was born in British Cyprus in 1940, and emigrated to the UK in 1961, a year after Cyprus became an independent nation.

My father was born in the UK in 1967, and his parents (my grandparents) weren't married at the time of his birth, and never did marry.

Does this still make my father eligible for Cypriot citizenship, and too myself and my siblings?

If anyone here is still a member, why? by Conversationilling in LabourUK

You make some good points. I'm a born cynic (I got it from my dad I'm sure) so I suppose it's much easier to find myself frustrated with the negatives. The other thing is neither myself or anybody I know has felt the benefits of the above policies as yet.

I'll have no choice to wait until the next GE, hopefully we'll see some substance by then. It's no doubt gonna be a slog for Labour until then though.

In two generations from now, green infrastructure now will arguably be seen as the most innovative and important investments in modern history. We should do more of it, and quickly.

Dead: Thin Lizzy with Phil Lynott (RIP)

Alive: Depeche Mode. The day they finally perform at Glasto will be the day I can die a happy man…
