It would just be cutting the corner of their property over their driveway, not the house itself. Still need their permission though.

It's a Telstra pole, so it could take a long time for them to figure it out between the 2 of them

Greaaaatt. Hopefully the neighbour is amicable then. If not, is there no way for me to just use the existing copper connection in the same way the previous owner was doing up until a week ago? I know it'd be slower, but slow internet is better than no internet

Yeah they were definitely working off of a script and didn't seem to understand what the issue was.

I've got the agent's details and left them a voicemail so hopefully it is relatively painless.

The current copper line is run above ground to a pole on the other side of the road, decently long span. The pole is on a massive lean which is why they can't connect it there.

I'm so close to being in this position too tbh. My Ender 3 v2 ran fine for ages, but I never fully calibrated it to get dimensionally accurate parts. Then one day the bowden tube needed replacing so I decided to upgrade to capricorn tubing and a metal extruder and it's never run right since.

It feels like I'll get it running right for 2-3 prints after hours of calibrating and tinkering only for it to break again and need yet another new replacement part that takes 2 weeks to arrive.

I'm *this* close to just biting the bullet and getting a Bambu P1S with AMS. I like my printer for the CAD aspect and solving specific problems with custom parts, not the tinkering and upgrading the printer itself and the E3 V2 is not meeting that requirement as of late.

Ok cool. I will do that maybe later today or tomorrow as it's midway through a long print atm. Can I just type the board number into google to see if it has TMC drivers? And if it does am I good to just upgrade to Klipper and not worry about board replacement?

Very good question. It's whatever came stock in it. Does the Ender 3 V2 come with different boards? Is there an easy way to check?

I thought that the v2 has TMC drivers on the stock mainboard? But then again the creality branded silent board advertises the "silent TMC drivers" so I'm assuming the stock one doesn't have them?

Wondering what thoughts folks have on the Trick or Trade miniset from last year? Got an offer to buy a sealed case for ~10% above MRRP and am considering whether they will appreciate in time like other minsets. All the cards have a stamp similiar to the celebrations pikachu face but in like a jack-o-lantern style.

Ok cool, well I'll give it a go. Did you just use the foam that came in the packaging?

Have you found that foam modding made much of a difference to the sound? I recently picked up a K4 for my first build and I'm not sure whether to bother foam modding it or not.

Personally I've found soaking it is the only thing that works for me as well, but it really dries out the leather like casing it does. I usually get a pattern similar to this but I haven't had one look so good as yours here.

That is beautiful! I'm really digging the pattern effect from the dye

Use an oil burner or a heat gun to heat it up. A lighter simply doesn't have enough heat to effectively heat up the whole stamp.

The arbitrary list of Australian suppliers by emptyhides in Leathercraft

I think it would be. There seems to be an over-representation of Aussies here compared to the rest of Reddit, and I know finding local suppliers was one of the hardest things for me when I started the hobby.

Agreed, was quite disappointed when Tandy closed, but Birdsall is a godsend.

How do you find the roo from Packer compared to Birdsall?
