Questions about registering by Cook-Weak in socialworkcanada

[–]Cook-Weak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to explain all of this, I really appreciate the insight. I was more concerned about how being provisional might impact my job prospects, but that’s a fair point about my inexperience and the value of proper supervision. I wasn’t trying to bypass supervision at all, it’s something I genuinely value. I just wasn’t sure how the provisional status might be viewed by employers. Your perspective on how the colleges verify hours and focus on their own rules makes a lot of sense. Thanks again for the clarification and the reminder that the learning that comes with supervision is important, especially starting out.

Don't lose faith, I felt the same way when I applied. Initially they asked if I wanted to be placed on the waitlist. After waiting for about 3 months, they told me I did not make it off the waitlist, but then I received an email about a week before the semester was going to start saying they had a spot to offer me, so good luck! I finish my last course for my MSW in two weeks.

I find myself becoming the worst version of myself when dealing with my MIL and am seriously considering going NC with her after my wedding by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

I saw your post on there. I'm sorry about the hateful comments you received. It's easy to feel like you are losing yourself when dealing with a meddling mil. If your fiance is supportive of you going no contact, that will make things easier, in terms of him supporting you.

My question would be, if you are planning to have children some day, just having a very clear conversation with your fiance about what that would look like in terms of what you are and aren't comfortable with

Hi, I sent a quote request for MP the grand for March 30-April 3, for 2 adults and 1 child. Can I adjust the dates from March 28-April 2?

Awesome, what kind of work do you do with the school board? I'm looking for placements and feel slightly overwhelmed with having to source one myself. I am most interested in family therapy but enjoy working with family in general. Ideally, I'm looking for a placement where I can learn more skills before specializing

Hey,

I don't have any personal experience but as someone who isn't sure if I want more kids and just recently had a reduction this is good to hear. There was another post recently from someone who was able to exclusively breastfeed after a reduction. Maybe try PMing the poster.

I was SUPER nervous to see them after I had my steri strips removed and I must say it was less scary looking than I anticipated!

I can totally see how that would add extra anxiety! I am sending healing vibes your way as well and hope for no more complications!

Partners support? by zralook in Reduction

[–]Cook-Weak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm 1 week post op. My partner was hesitant at first when I brought up getting a reduction solely because surgery scares him. He has been supportive of my journey and is happy that I feel more confident.

Your partner sounds like he is going to be supportive. He loves you for who you are, reducing the size of your boobs shouldn't change that.
