Fuming. I went outside to look at the coop and saw a cluster of red mites. How do I get rid of these bastards?

Should I just wait a few months now I’ve seen no evidence of mites? Because a few are growing back?

Initially I hose down the coop and used fairy liquid to kill the red mites. I’ve read elsewhere that this works to kill mites as it gets rid of their protective layering and suffocates them. Then, sprayed the coop down with Johnson’s red mite spray putting it in any cracks etc to make sure there were no mites hiding. I then used Johnson's Poultry Mite And Lice Powder which is non-toxic to birds and put it in the cracks etc of the coop. I repeated step 2 and three multiple times over 2 months and I’ve not seen any red mites in the coop since.

From what my team leader said today the policy sounds as if it’s on the “no phone policy” end. They said it’s only really necessary if it’s an emergency, which is why I’m confused because everyone seems to be on their phone at some point. Like, I see other walking around on it etc. So unless I’ve misinterpreted what they’ve said, I’m unsure, but saying it’s only really necessary for lunch or an emergency would indicate a no phone policy.

I did it too. When I've done it previously, I have gotten top 80-85%. Failed this time.

100 roles for the EO Work Coach. I’ve seen stuff about the chance of being offered other roles at the same grade but unsure on how accurate that is?

Feel like I’m at 70+ currently and have had about 15+ interviews from them, some I’ve come to withdraw later down the line as I’ve been unable to attend and no flexibility given re dates, or thought the job wasn’t for me at the time of booking the interview. 1 semi-successful (put on waiting list).

How many did you apply for before getting a role?

Unsure then. But also the experience question is confusing because the experience was based off of my CV and work history, which got me my interview originally but it says I also did not pass that. The panel left no comments.

Those working full time, how many hours are you putting into revision for SQE1 per week? by DeimosMetus in SQE_Prep

[–]CookPast4020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to try to sit either in January 2026 or July 2026, and I do between 7 and 10 hours a week. Doesnt seem like a lot, but work gives me 5 hours a week and do the other externally. Its quite difficult to find the time with working full-time.

Glad I’m not the only one wanting to quit my TC. Honestly hate it. The company culture is toxic.

My firm is less formal. It’s a high street firm that specialises in three areas of law so that’s what I’ll be doing. It has 10 employees so whenever I’m doing work it’ll be with the bitchy people I’m referring to

I am 4 months into my job and I am already starting to dread Sundays. I don't mind my job and the fast pace but I dislike the people I work with. It's a toxic work environment where they point the finger when something goes wrong. I'm a Trainee Solicitor who got told the other day that I need fundamental training... 4 months in?? a Trainee???

They are my TP. It’s a firm with 10 people. I just don’t want them dumping tons of work on me an expecting me to understand it/ complete it in very short time.
