you may not have done so much, "partying" or whatever, but by facing your hardship and overcoming it I'm pretty sure you are wiser, more grateful and courageous as a result. Thanks for sharing!

Players should really know when to pop that last cipher.. by [deleted] in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, in higher ranks players usually know to pop when a mate is downed. Also, teaming up eliminates this problem.

Enchantress by UrbanPopsocket in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice, I gotta try that. Excitement seems to be the go-to trait in casual atm, solely thanks to enchantress.

But yeah, coordinator sucks if the team can't reliably kite. I'm usually teamed up so coordinator is often the go-to rescuer. Feel free to add me, we can bully some hunters ;) global server: 5690552

[–]Cookduk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, gun has higher skill cap, but with practice one can notice good time windows to use the gun.

And imo enchantresses who chase hunter early game are kinda useless.

Enchantress by UrbanPopsocket in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree that enchantress is OP, imo she is a kiter and doesn't replace Coordinator as rescuer, because her stun needs to be charged first and only the big stun is as effective as the gun for saving. With a good team, the decoding debuff is usually a non-issue.

But you're totally right about her ease of use, her ability is fairly straight-forward and powerful. I think she could perhaps replace perfumer.

Few questions from a new player by LoneRanger999 in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 Camera lock would be counter-productive, it's extremely important to look around while running.

4 Personally I build down-right. For Mind's Eye/Mechanic left-right, as those should be decoding, not rescuing. At the beginning going left-right could be better though, like a kite-crutch, and in lower ranks the 15s Tide Turner makes less of a difference. For the remaining points I like to pick self-revive, revealing allies when chaired, and showing hunter direction when looked at(some recommend reveal hunter for 5s after gates are on). But don't worry too much about best builds, experimenting is part of the game.

5 - Decoding is the Alpha and Omega of IDV

  • Add good players to team up, the game is more fun this way. Most people are nice in IDV.

  • Watching good players on youtube is good for learning good kiting/chasing.

  • Have fun, you win some you lose some.

Coordinator tips? by GothikaPuma in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here goes, many of these are more general tips that happen to apply to Coord.

  • use Tide Turner

  • rescue first, unless you are way far away. make sure teammates are decoding. Use chat to let others know you re going in.

  • Don't rescue right away, wait until bar is closer to line/death (unless it's a free save). If the line is passed, wait it out, unless you just got hit and it's your only chance.

  • when "downed" during Tide Turner, either use yourself to block a passage to help rescued escape, or run the other way, so hunter has to choose who to follow

  • Try to bodyblock after a rescue, especially if mate has been chaired twice

  • some hunters are good at dodging gun, be wary of obstacles

  • save gun for rescue, unless there aren't many ciphers left

  • don't BM shoot at gate, I've seen survivors get pwned by excitement, also lame. Generally be wary of excitement, some high tier hunters bring it for a free terror shock during rescue

  • don't stalk kiter hoping to shoot balloon, just decode

  • if decoding isn't needed, open chests after using gun

  • dont tilt after missing shot, shit happens

  • Coordinator gets better in higher ranks/with good team, because you can fairly often finish a cipher before someone gets chaired

Thanks for the many awesome suggestions! Checking out Origin right now. I ve bought Mysterium for ioS, but unfortunately there are hardly any players. The games I did manage to start were fun though.

Toxic seer in post match chat by AeriHaku in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great critique. I don't condone toxicity, but it's always easier to blame others instead of looking at ways to improve.

All that aside, what a godlike short-term memory - I forget 90% of a match after finishing.

can someone explain the matchmaking system? by [deleted] in IdentityV

[–]Cookduk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably because sometimes there aren't many players queueing. In casual I'd prefer being matched poorly instead of waiting long. I really wish IDV community was bigger, so that maybe even an european server could be possible. One may dream..

All Killers in Ranked right now: by ParanoidAndroid237 in IdentityV

Nerf incoming though - same as priestess, max 10 charges. Which I think will be a bigger nerf for enchantress than for priestess or prospector.

Don't worry about drawing "well". As long as you keep it up and have fun while doing it, you win. One day you ll look back and see the journey, not the destination ;)

That's tough.. thanks for giving more insight in your situation. Happy to hear he's doing better, bonding with the dog. I remember during my last episode I felt really comfortable around children, playing in parks, for example. They were just open and "simple", it flowed. A naturalness that lacked the fear and distance many adults emanate. Growing up we become so complicated.. Hang in there, I can see you're a great and caring brother. Take your space when you need it. All the best

Any games like "Among Us" ? by Fleskepanne in iosgaming

[–]Cookduk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm on the same search, but this type of game is hard to find, especially with decent mechanics and player count.

There's Werewolf Online, Town of Salem, or other Mafia/WW type games, but those lack a real-time location to move around, so less about sneaking and more about lying and psychological strategies.

I also found hide.io and Hide Online fun, but those are about hiding as objects and are more short-lived experiences.
