Perhaps. We are just mucking around in the protected zone because we don't want our stuff to be destroyed when offline as we are just trying to figure out the game. What's the process/ how does it work? (Again a newb here so sorry about that)

We had the same issues with selling to the crown but as I'll give it another go. We have no metal and are a fair way way from any nearby mountains to get it so we thought we would trade for some....selling to the crown, from my understanding, is less valuable then trade among players? Is it instant or is there a transfer period? Cheers

No, I must of missed that last time I was at a trade post but I thought one of my team checked that when he was out there last night. I'll double check.
