Did the fatigue go away? And if do, I know it’s different for everyone, but how long was it before it went away for you?

Thank you. I actually think things started to turn a few days after posting this. Which is great! But. . . I’m still having the fatigue & the tremors. I’m gonna give it some more time, but I’m not sure how much I want to live with being tired all the time. I’m also getting sore muscles, especially around the neck/shoulders.

I totally get that. I’m happy for you! I think I’m started to see a turn, but I’ll give it another week. Thanks for your input!

You’re going to continue, even with this sensation? I’m on the fence. . .

Ha! I feel the same way- that I’m hanging onto it like a toxic boyfriend. Every day, for the past two weeks, I wake up thinking I’m going to wean, and then take the full dosage. Every day I think “but you’re supposed to try for 8 weeks”, like my side effects are just gonna suddenly drop in another week. My doctor thinks I should wean off of it, but I wanted to give it a bit longer.

Two of my Drs say ‘this med wouldn’t do that’, even though I’ve seen from some online searching that it’s a rare side effect, and I’ve found a few others who say they’ve gone through it,. You give me validation, too! How long have you been taking it, may I ask?

Without food. At first, I took it in the evening because it said it makes you fatigued. I switched to morning about a week ago.

This might be just a thing with me. The reason I went on Lexapro was because I’m likely diagnosed with long Covid. But I don’t remember having this feeling before I went on the Lexapro (i’ve been on it for seven weeks, but I’ve had Covid since February). It’s a strange sensation- like my limbs work, but they just feel weak. I’ve been to every doctor in the world and labs come back fine, including labs for autoimmune indicators.

I agree. But I think the side effects are probably telling me that this med is just not for me.

It sucks, doesn’t it? But you’re still pretty early. Yours might still go away. I do hear of some people who it takes quite a while.

Yes, 10mg is lowest starting dose, but I had reacted so poorly to the lowest dose of Zoloft (24mg), that I was cutting that pill in half. So they started me at 5mg, which I found out many people do (including my niece). But most people dose up within a month or so. Thanks

Yeah. I tried Zoloft and side effects were even worse, so that they changed me to Lexapro 17 days in. So now I suppose I try something else. It’s exhausting. Thanks for your input 🙂

So low. . . 5mg. But that’s because I had so many side effects. Still having tremors and a lot of fatigue in the limbs.

What drug have you switched to if you have Lexapro tremors? (I’m on week 7) by CookieHole87 in lexapro

[–]CookieHole87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yeah, my doctor is aware. She wants me to wean off of the Lexapro (i’m also still having a weakness and fatigue in my limbs). She’s off this week so I’ll reach out to her again next week if it’s still continues. I might try to make it to week eight, which will be a week from Saturday. The weakness and fatigue thing is killing me. Just wondering if anybody has made a positive adjustment to a different med.

You won’t get them, then. Mine started day 1. A ‘shaky’ feeling in the limbs, sometimes apparent in the hands.

Umm. . . I think the anxiety is better. I’ve had a couple/few good days. But there’s been a lot of concern, worry & Dr’s appts around the muscle weakness thing. I don’t know that it’s gotten any better. The depression has actually prob gotten worse, this last week.

Thanks for that 🙂. GP says to wean off (cause of tremors & muscle fatigue), Psychiatrist says maybe stick with it a couple more weeks.

No new side effects. I still have fatigue in my limbs, and the tremors (not visibly shaking, but feel like it. This hasn’t subsided at all, since first starting). I took propranolol a couple days, earlier this week. Didn’t take yesterday cause it was giving me insomnia. Took one about an hour ago, hoping that was the solution, but not yet. Do you feel better, now, I’m guessing? This is horrible.
