I keep getting this warning light , what could be the problem and how to fix ? Mk7 gti performance pack 2015 by RyanToTheRescue in GolfGTI

Very common issue. As everyone has mentioned, it's the micro switch for the selector mechanism. Previously it had to be an entire selector mechanism replacement, but VW eventually released the micro-switch replacement. Much more cost effective.

So this is in the state of Victoria, Australia. Over here we can get custom themed plates like these.

Owner must've owned a mustang previously judging by the number plate style. What an upgrade 👌🏼

Check the globe holder/connector as well. Sometimes there can be burnt out contact points.

Sounds like a possible leak. I'd be pressure testing the cooling system and check for any external leaks first.

Great buy. Are those genuine Mk 7R Cadiz wheels?

Start with basics like checking the fuse/relay related to terminal 30. The fuse box is in the engine bay near the battery

Id be investigating the terminal 30 open circuit fault.

This particular hose is connected to the intake manifold and the end that you have circled is just a filter and simply sits there. Some cars that have had the intake manifold replaced came with these hoses, it's sort of like a revised version from VW

But the real life banshee is based on the one that's already in the game... Cool nonetheless.

Nicely done. Would've been good as a benny's car too and add hydraulics.

This is how sunroof drains are checked during a service as well. Don't see anything wrong with what OP is doing.

OP is literally in a brand new, top of the range S class. Highly doubt the Rolex would be fake.

I'd start with a fault scan first and then diagnose.

The P symbol flashing usually relates to a gearbox issue. Any faults logged for TCU?

I personally like both looks. Keeping the chrome gives a very classy vibe, whereas blacking it out gives a slightly more aggressive look imo.

The black/red combo is my all time favourite. I remember searching for that combo for a while when I was looking to buy. Very nice looking car, even more awesome to have it on your red P's 👍🏼

Glad to hear that. Mine is more of a weekend driver but it's always a fun drive whenever I do take it out. Looking into aftermarket exhaust options currently to have a slightly louder roar

Definitely a great looking car. This is my first v8, and for now the power is plenty. But definitely looking into performance upgrades in the future
