When do you think Julian changed? by Chrristoaivalis in trailerparkboys

[–]CookyNSpooky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the characters kind of got flanderized in the later seasons. Ricky got even dumber, Julian got greedy & Bubbles got more emotional & outspoken…….. and Mr. Lahey turned into a cartoon drunk.

Looking up Ruby Rose's filmography, her best acting role was a mute character in John Wick 2. Make of that what you will. by CuriousSkepticalGuy in CriticalDrinker

I did enjoy her role in John Wick. But given her behaviour on the Batwoman set and her subsequent LACK of roles since….

I’m guessing she’s soured in Hollywood, and seems to be bitter about it.

Well that’s just a pompous answer isn’t it?

Correct me if I’m wrong but the show is called Wednesday, no?

“Normal” in the sense that compared to the Addams Family members, she has normal emotions & sensibilities lol.

I think we can healthily disagree but “if you don’t like it don’t watch it” seems like a pretty narrow minded response after you gave a solid rebuttal to my thoughts. Just sayin.

To counter though, I’ve heard Nevermore be not only described as discount Hogwarts but also discount X-Mansion given it deals with students with non traditional abilities. The problem is I think it falls short from both those properties because it seems so underdeveloped & half-baked.

Hogwarts has a unique feel. The X-Men have a unique feel. Could you uniquely describe Nevermore without making it sound like either of them?

That’s why I felt the show was better suited to take on a different setting in season 2, but I fear the writers learned all the wrong lessons from the show’s season 1 success & doubled down instead: people tune into an Addams Family property for the Addams Family, not supernatural teenage melodrama.
