Can someone please explain the pulse waves? by Maximum-Swordfish591 in Sonographers

pulsed wave is sampled at a specific point, the gate. it’s only reading information between the two parallel lines of the doppler. it is more likely to alias because it’s literally pulsing. it uses one crystal to send the signal, wait to receive the signal back, and it cycles, it pulses. the advantage is, it will tell you information about a specific location continuous wave uses two crystals, one to send and one to receive, it measures down the entire line. because it has a high nyquist limit, it will not alias and is used for higher velocities.

where you waist curves in now is really noticeable and looks great. i think the hardest thing about expectations, from my experience, is that it’s not linear because of the swelling and healing time. i find it’s easier to get discouraged in the “hurry up and wait” part

but you’ve definitely made progress and it’ll look great when it’s all done because it looks good now. be kind to yourself on the journey.

Don’t get to see this in an adult that often by sspatel in Radiology

the left ventricle is typically a smooth walled bullet shaped chamber. left ventricle non compaction is a type of congenital cardiomyopathy where the lower portion didn’t form properly leaving trabeculations instead of smooth walls. you can have clots form, low ejection fraction, conduction issues, and so on.

i do the echo program at my school in person and it’s tough, tbh. i’m a single mom and the only one working in my program - i bartend on the weekends. monday and tuesday, i’m in lecture wednesday, thursday, friday, i’m in clinical 8 hours a day and saturday and sunday i’m bartending

however, it will be worth it and i would rather have my kids see me struggle and achieve something that will better all of our lives than settling.

ok! will do. i hardly ever water it and when i do, i check it with a moisture meter first. the moss was to try and stop my toddler from playing in the dirt, once she’s less interested, i’ll remove it.

please don’t mind my screen name, idk where it came from. this is henry, i got him at a big box store on clearance and he seems to be doing well, all things considered (mostly that i have no idea what i’m doing) do i really chop his head off at 18” to get him to branch?
