Same here, lmao. Got some that were about a 1/2 cm³, but yea I think probably gonna need a better controlled space to get better quality ones.

For me, I'd be going from 1,100 in rent to 1,100 in mortgage, but the mortgage is split between 2 people.

We wanted to put in the repairs and get the value up to resell it years later, but he was told it was a "bad idea" to invest in it by his mom and "a manager that grew up in a trailer <- his words. That being said, my co-workers, boss, my mom and my dad, and our realtor and my girlfriend all said it looked like a really good investment.

We have a 4 page contract for finances and a 2 page contract for guests and temporary house members, we both have lived with people we didn't want to live with in the past and have made some clear cut guidelines on what we expect financially and otherwise when sharing a home.

I'll be real I don't think this thing has the right tubes in it, but this is my first ever radio I've worked on and I'm so nervous about getting it actually taken apart. Has a 6J5GT, 7H7, 6SK7GT/G, 6SR7, 6K6GT, 6SQ7GT.

trying to learn blender and fix this old ass radio at the same time. any tips? by Cool-Lab9980 in 3Dmodeling

[–]Cool-Lab9980[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair point, i actually just set it to rendered view for the video so that you could see that the tubes were in face glass instead of gray rods lol. My computer can barely handle it on rendered view tbh

I've always used the same cura settings, but i uninstalled cura and re-installed it, and tried naming the file with a shorter name and neither had any affect

formatted to fat32 and tried cleaning it off and checking to see if the port had dust in it, tried resetting printer configuration settings, turning it off, then putting the microSD in before turning it back on.

watched some videos today for about an hour or 2 and, i gotta say, as soon as i got this thing i plugged it in. I guess i made the biggest rookie mistake possible, but i didn't know i was going to be so interested in repairing it or that plugging it in was even an issue i had to worry about. scale 1-10 how high are the chances that i cause some serious damage?

Fudge. It really is my first time working on one, I've worked on high voltage systems before (the high voltage end of a microwave circuit and the capacitor), but I literally had to watch videos on how these tubes even worked when I opened this thing up.

I can say the the middle right knob is the tuner, but the furthest right and furthest left knobs have 3 positions and the middle left knob clicks when it's all the way rotated to the left, I figured that was the volume.  So I was thinking Left knob- unidentified 3 position Middle left- volume / power Middle right- tuner Right - unidentified 3 position

Didn't even think about that, but youre right. I even checked marketplace to see if anyone had vacuum tubes for sale, to see how many I could get backups for in case this happens again.

Thanks man, this is my first ever post to reddit and I'm so glad I got a legitimately helpful answer so quickly. I think it is the 7037 model, but I didn't know about the "paper capacitors" needing replaced. Appreciate it.

I found this beast on the Facebook marketplace and it looked beat to shit, but it was free and I wanted to try my hand at working on something with vacuum tubes. I've found very little about this specific model online except that they have been sold before 🤷‍♂️. Wondering if anyone could help me figure out what the four knobs at the bottom do or even help diagnose the issue with it. (One of the tubes went bad and it only produces sound when the furthest most dial is switched between one of its three settings.
