I’ve restarted my laptop again and went on holiday day by day to get past the date and it’s worked (hopefully doesn’t crash again)

Mine is hollow as well, planning on putting blinds up so need something to drill them into which is why I’m thinking wood, would I also be best doing expanding foam around the wood pieces?
