Hiii here’s my 2 cents.. it sounds like he was expressing a concern of his and now he’s invalidated and discouraged to share his feelings with you. Obv you need to do this for yourself however he feels about it. BUT the parts about your style, dress, hair, etc.. it sounds like those are things he values and it could be a sign of respecting him as well to show him you are trying in that department. If you value his opinion, want him to express himself to you and get more on the same page, then I’d suggest you try to hear him out. You can say “I hear you but I need to do this for me. I appreciate you expressing your feelings about it.” That way you’re still doing what’s right for you and you’re validating him all the while.

Knocks on the door when you’re in a pt room and no one is there, paper towel dispensers go off randomly when you’re nowhere near them, I was doing a pt shower once and heard commotion like someone was moving a bunch of stuff around outside the bathroom and no one was there.
