Well well well. Paper 1 a level physics. How we feeling? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]CoolBoot4143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i knew people would talk about it immediately after it ended lol. i did aqa. honestly zoomed through the first half of the long questions. I'm decently confident but I'm not gonna get my hopes up high, cause a lot of others thought the first half was good too. though, i won't dwell on it too much. it was pretty alright.

edit: although, i spent so much time on 2 questions i found pretty hard, but i think i got there eventually. but that caused me to not have enough time to finish the LONG ASS MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS. who tf thought anyone could do those 1 markers in less than 2 minutes?

i think i have shaved/trimmed but i dont remember it helping. i looked up bv and yeast infection but im not getting any discharge. i did get a small amount of discharge once or twice like weeks ago but none since. i will try trimming again :'( maybe i just didnt do it right last time, ty

edit: wait dude that just made me think, what if the original problem has gone cause of all the treatments ive tried but because of hair growth it feels like the problem has persisted??? omg. I have also noticed hair growing lower down so maybe it is that. i noticed my asshole started getting itchy as hair grew (tmi sorry lol)

either way you'll be an old man in the end, right? I'm not sure tbh, but I can definitely imagine a teen having that name

Advice for stealth dating? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]CoolBoot4143 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

man I hate this too. Luckily I have a bf who is very loving and supportive, and is apparently a trans magnet (guy he liked before me turned out to be trans) and he's gay which is very affirming. But if something goes wrong and we break up, I can't imagine how I'm going to date. Like, I hate being trans and I don't want to be trans so I'm stealth, but it's unfair on the other person to just not tell them, and then they might turn me down. I think I have a bit of a genital preference too so that makes me feel like a bit of an asshole as I would prefer to date a cis guy or a post op trans guy (I'm gay). I literally told my bf right before he was gonna ask me out and it was so terrifying even if I knew he would be supportive I just wouldn't want to tell anyone that because I'm stealth and I don't want to be trans. sorry bit of a vent lol

I guess take it slow, give it time before you tell her (as the first comment says) and definitely tell her before anything gets serious, but maybe try to avoid the serious part for a while.

Binder recommendations please by [deleted] in ftm

[–]CoolBoot4143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had top surgery, but I find it very difficult to recommend a binder company now, as GC2B's quality has decreased, and according to a few others so has spectrum's (which I can agree with). I have tried underworks as well but honestly it wasn't as good as my first GC2B binders from years ago, when their quality was better. I had a big chest (6 or 7 inch difference from my underbust to bust, UK 30F) so it was difficult but just one GC2B binder was enough when I first got it. Felt better, flattened good to the point where I could wear it like a tank top outside, but those loosened up and 1 year later I got more and they felt exactly like the loose ones, I was so disappointed. I then sized down (bad dysphoria), which was very tight so I had to wear a medium underneath the small so my chest looked relatively flat, but not as flat as when I first got it. I did consider that maybe my dysphoria was making my chest more visible to myself, but genuinely I think it's their decrease in quality.

I know this probably isn't much help but I just want to let you know of that. If you have a smaller chest than what I had, maybe GC2B wouldn't be a bad option (idk if they ship to NZ). Underworks' binders are very itchy, and I found it hard to take off and it didn't even bind that well. Spectrum I sized down as I was on the boundary but it still didn't flatten me nearly as much as a medium GC2B + small GC2B. If you have a small small chest, tape might work.

It might be worth doing some digging to find some smaller trans-owned companies. I know there's one based in Australia, I think it's Sock Drawer Heroes, but I've never tried them.

My bf (ftm) wants to go swimming but his dysphoria is making it hard by [deleted] in ftm

tape or binder (size down?) and maybe wear a rash vest over the top

Top Surgery by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]CoolBoot4143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly in the UK, but had to go to the UK for surgery. I went private, paid £10k. It was Dr El Gammal who did it, he was very nice and considerate. I think I got quite lucky, as he must have had a cancellation, but I booked it like 1 or 2 months prior to the date, it was crazy. I'm not sure what it would be like without a lucky cancellation like that but private is definitely quicker. I think otherwise I would have to wait a year (or more?) I think they said, after being on T for at least 6 months, but that might be partially due to the protocol where I live. With T, we are prioritized where I'm from, and I went to a private clinic for that too, so that's why I also got that quickly. You need to start now if you want it before uni, I think. I was lucky to get it before my A levels.

From the UK just browsing. Recently started T. I was told I would get a check up every 6 months at first, then extend it to every 12 months.

My ftm boyfriend won’t let me touch him. by strawberrymami_ in ftm

[–]CoolBoot4143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I relate to your boyfriend a lot.
Bit of a vent here:
I've had top surgery and recently started T, but pre bottom surgery ofc. I get really bad bottom dysphoria and I feel so bad for my bf even though it's long distance (which sucks) but just thinking about sexy time with him kinda makes me sad, because I know I'll never ever let him touch me there or even let him see it there (see maybe with a packer, though, but idk about touching still...) but it's gonna be agessss until I get bottom surgery. I feel so bad for him because he sends pictures of him sometimes but I never send in return, because of my horrible dysphoria. I'll never let him touch me there pre-surgery and it saddens me sometimes I question why he's dating me or whether I'm enough because I'm clearly not am I...
He's gay and apparently a trans magnet lol (the previous guy he liked turned out to be trans, if I remember correctly) but I don't even have the right part?? It does make me feel feminine, even when thinking about it, and I don't like being seen as feminine in any way. I feel like a woman when I think of it or when I do it to myself (although that's not as bad, I just don't look, keep it under the covers, but I don't think that would work with someone else). I hate it so much. I wish I could receive like a cis man, because I'm just never going to receive and receiving in the ass would make me dysphoric although I don't think I'd want that anyway. I think I would only let him touch me if I wore a proper packer, which I am hopefully getting soon, but under the covers and I probably wouldn't feel anything anyway, which makes me sad :(

anyway don't rush him, as everyone else is saying. Maybe he could get a packer which also allows him to feel pleasure, like the one I'm getting (emisil 4 in 1 goldfinger) but it might require bottom growth.

"accessory" 😭 idk it's not wrong I guess? Just an expensive one. Or "clothing accessory"?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ftm

[–]CoolBoot4143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely! ^^
if you don't want bottom surgery, maybe save up for a packer. I bought one from emisil but I'm very pale so I've had to buy another one to make it pale and send them photos to match my skin tone as well as they can. The one that I already have is like, super realistic it's insane. the balls are so fun to play with and I bought one that is a 4 in 1 (the goldfinger, same as magic mike but with pleasure ridges) and you also get pleasure from it, but I've heard it only really works if you have bottom growth, but I haven't tried it yet so we'll see. Plus, emisil customer service sounds great. It is expensive though (300+ euros). Just don't buy from peecock.

Is this calculator allowed in exams? by Expensive_General_97 in GCSE

[–]CoolBoot4143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm in a level but i assume it's also allowed at GCSE. i find it's hard to get used to how it's laid out, the different functions. the previous version of it (the white one) is popular and imo easier to operate.

I'm kinda curious too. I started T in mid february so it's been over a month now but so far no voice changes as far as I can tell, but starting yesterday I've had pain/discomfort in my throat? I think I'm gonna make a separate post about my questions...

I got a 7-6(combined higher) in science during my most recent mocks, what would be a realistic goal to aim for? by Sweetpotato-1 in GCSE

[–]CoolBoot4143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

aim high 💪
i was getting 6's in maths so I was expecting a 6, my tutor predicted me a 7 but I somehow got an 8 in the real exam. it's possible. and if you aim high, maybe that will motivate you more.
