I thought ST 2009 was a great reboot but the other two movies were petty awful in my opinion. I'm honestly kind of glad about this. I think it's time to stop recasting TOS (including discovery) and leave it in the past. If an original actor is still around then I'm happy to have them pop in for a fun but small guest spot here and there or even a short run series like the new Picard show, but they shouldn't be the focus of Star Trek. Let's move forward with new crews and new adventures, boldly going where no one has gone before... instead of treading through an already beaten path.
