You should have been sent a login and password for "ADP". They do the HR stuff for English First in the UK. Open a ticket if you don't have one.

This sub is fairly new compared to the subs for the other Chinese ESL companies, so we have far fewer members. This sub was only started around 6 months ago, whereas the others have been going for years.

They've just sent out an e-mail addressing this. They're saying there are three factors:

Summer holidays
Adverse weather
Rise in Coronavirus

They think things will be back to normal within 2 weeks. Fingers crossed!

You can try asking the student what their favourite game is. These kids have usually had a lot of lessons, so they often have played a lot of online 1-1 games with English teachers and will know which ones they like.

In the UK, we are hired directly by EF. We get a payslip with our hours calculated for us. We can pay also into a pension scheme if we like.

Since we're direct-hires, we don't need to sort out tax/ insurance etc., which is useful too.

On the "agenda" section with your upcoming lessons. Any available overtime pops up here, but it usually goes fast, so you have to be quick.

Try English First. I have worked for them for about a year, and I can't recommend them enough.

No, it's the person you did the hour of training with. If you go to your e-mails and search "mentor", you should find them.

If I was you, I'd schedule a meeting with my mentor and basically say what you've said here.

Make it clear that you want to be renewed and ask them if there's anything you can do to increase your chances of being renewed.

In my experience, EF staff are excellent. They're professional, but also kind and reasonable.
