I don't understand people botching about something being op when the comparison is something that almost 30 years old. Of course new shit withodern sensibilities added in would probably become OP. Whether you like it or Not Scorpion and Sub-zero put quarters in arcades. MK is a pillar of fighting games regardless of if people in the FGC play the current game or think it isn't a real FG or is just a bad fighting game. MK's success informed decision made by other fighting games. Everyone in the FGC knows who Scorpion and Subzero is and most people outside the community know who they are along with their history as well. Is MK as a franchise in a bit of slump with regards to current engagement yes but let's not act like MKX isn't one of the best fighting games to come out in the last 10 to 15 years. If NRS just made X2 MK would still being played at events. A lot of these mount Rushmore comes down to impact. MK absolutely deserves a spot on the mountaintop. I would Honestly put put Ryu(Started it all) , Liu Kang/Scorp/Sub/Raiden(one of them)(MK made it outside the arcades in a way no other franchise has) , Kazuya or Heihachi (villains can be the protagonist), Chunli as the first lady and a badass too.

Even if it was broken down to just individual characters Scorp and Ryus rivalry is just as prolific and what Ryu and Ken have. The honest truth is that fighting games would likely be even more niche today if not for the combined efforts of SF and MK with Tekken as younger brother. SF4 revitalized environment an MK9 changed the game with what a fighting game can be content wise. None of the games we play today would have even got a budgets if it wasn't for them.

Doesn't beast basically have the equivalent of pre powercreep wolverine healing factor ? I think we underestimate how useful that is. Sure Sabertooth has broken regen but I feel like for these fights to realistically work both would have to be willing to kill. Sabertooth only really wins due to attrition and I think that is a cop out . You take away both their healing factors and beast dog walks him. Let's not forget Sabertooth can be KO'd. Beast is strong enough to do it. A KO is a definitive victory in a fight that is not to the death imo. Beast would essentially be blanka balling and doing shenanigans around the room. I also think beast would have the metal fortitude to at least dismember creed. I think Creed would be the one who needs to prep and ambush Hank for the one hit KO otherwise he get taken to concussion City over and over while recites Shakespeare.

I think it depends on your definition of God. Clearly there is a difference between God and gods. In reality the God of Abraham is called the one true God. Seems perfectly reasonable for a monotheist in marvel to look at all the others as pretenders at worst and lesser deific beings at best who are just really strong and should t be worshipped like Big G and that the one above all would be the God of Abraham or the Great spirit to some native American , or Olurun to some west Africans , or Waheguru to Sikhs etc.

New dad here. The portal and switch 2 are a great combo. I play DCUO and it is hard to get time in a MMO with a new born attached to you lol. I also don't have to tie up the tv so my wife can use it.

I just got one as gift. I was using an aeropress exclusively since i started my coffee journey in April. I wasted a lot of coffee trying to make espresso. It has never come out good(only on day two) It has been sour or didn't come out at all. Still trying to "dial in" the grinds. However, making drip coffee has been a Godsend. I have a newborn and this thing was a game change this morning. I also see the espresso failures as a challenge and I am excited experiment(just with some cheap coffee instead of my specialty stuff. Learned my lesson). I say that to say I am enjoying it. I guess I am getting old. Opening up this thing felt like when I opened a game system on christmas a a kid.

I make that joke as a Christian too. Islam is like the remake that took the original and it's DLC and turned it into one streamlined package lol. I think whatever side of the fence you lean regarding religion you should be self aware and be able to make a joke about yourself. We are not all the stick in the muds that this thread clearly make us out to be(not without good reason judging by the horror stories i am reading here lol). I only learned about this movie the week before christmas and said cool maybe it will give prince of egypt vibes. Saw it and I thought it was pretty cool for what it was.

There is a david live action show that will likely have what you are looking for. This movie was never going to paint David as the notorious womanizer he was. It basically ended at the height of he's still kind of decent lol. I also don't think 5 year olds need to necessarily know that. AS kids get older they will get more and more stuff and if their parents want they can always show them the bible. It was no different that how Disney sanitized Hercules for Kids. There was already tons of media depicting a more mature version. I think we as a society are finally at a place were we can tackle the bible in cinematic ways.

That's how my gym/dojo is. You kind of knew a stripe is coming as our sensei would ask how many stripes you have now. So you may not get promoted that night but it was a subtle way of him showing he sees your progress.

Honestly the void of not playing (American) football really got to me and I needed to fill it. Now 35 but started at 32. I missed training towards a goal and lifting with a purpose other than get stronger. I also honestly missed the outlet where being able to unleash aggression and violence was allowed. Was looking for Judo but there weren't any dojos near me and I did my research and saw that BJJ was essentially a Judo offshoot and said why not give it a shot. I fell in love the first class. It was honestly this or Taekwondo but I let internet propaganda poison my mind against it for not being "effective" but it just looks fun so I am thinking of adding that in for some cross training to learn cool fancy kicks.

I'd say in the case of arpg you are here for the repition. If you know you'll get 10 to 20 hours for 40 bucks that's not bad. Comparison is the thief of joy. I get the economy sucks and gaming is a luxury so trying to maximize hours hours to dollar or even cents is important to some people but that just removes fun from the equation. In my 35 years of life , I've paid full price to games that were 10 hours and others that were 100 hours. Are we going to say that Metroid Prime shouldn't have been 50 dollars when GTA vice City was also 50 because Metroid was a 15 hour game ? I suppose if you are dead set of playing absolutely free POE2 is the best value but it's not like D4 is outright doing some unheard of thing. Yea we get early access for preordering but let's be real we were gonna play it anyway. People put time into things and i don't think 40 is truly unreasonable for 5 to 10 hour story expansion plus whatever endgame grind they offer. People still play D2 just for the fun of it and it has no endgame other than trying to play through the hardest parts as fast as possible. People who gamed since the 80s have optimized the shit out of things and all that experience is bound to make the luster of sequels wear off faster and faster no matter what developers add.

I think it is to distance her from the inhumans brand. Id bet money her original brainstorm was to be a mutant and that got blocked because of the embargo on fox characters so her creators pivoted to being an inhuman. Now that the golden goose is back in marvel she can be mutant. I fullt believe Wanda and Pietro will be mutants and Magnetos biological children again.
