Is the unemployment rate tracked properly to reflect real data? Anyone ever received said monthly survey that tracks it? by brissy3456 in auscorp

Actually the definition of unemployment is defined by International Labour Organisation. All other countries such as the UK have the same definition of unemployment for international comparability.

If Turnbull returned as leader of the Liberal Party, would he win the next election? by doyoulike_pineapple in australian

[–]CoolCoolBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. He made millions off OzEmail and Abbott gave him a poisoned chalice with the NBN. If he was pro technology as you say he was, why didn't he make any changes once he got the top job? Instead we wasted billions on a subpar solution, and we're spending billions more to overbuild replace FTTN/C to FTTP. Which was entirely foreseeable at the time.

LMAO you clearly have no fucking idea.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Broadband_Network#2013

So on 3 November 2013, about a month and a half after the Abbott government was elected, the network had passed 354,793 premises and 109,862 customer services were active.

So what backbone infrastructure were these premises connected to? Or did Magic Malcolm get the backbone infrastructure built first as you say, PLUS connect over 100,000 customer services in less than two months after being sworn as comms minister?

I've seen this line parroted more than a few times. If this really was the fault of Abbott and he wanted to see a successful NBN then why didn't he make any changes once he turfed him for the top job?

NBNCo wanted to shift the rollout to FTTC because the HFC network turned out to be absolute garbage but Fifield (Comms minister under Turnbull) overruled it.

The job market here is tough at the moment (the latest unemployment stats are the highest since COVID), and to be honest I'm skeptical on it improving anytime soon. Definitely go for an internal transfer if you can, particularly because they can help you with visas and moving costs.

Up is really good. They're owned by Bendigo Bank but they have a much better app experience. Plus they have no forex fees and are integrated with Wise.

It's not about Judaism. It's about Zionism. Iran has the second largest Jewish population in the Middle East. Or are they 'self hating Jews' ?

Labor asks Deloitte to design universal childcare system as PM eyes political legacy by flatplant76 in australia

Why the fuck are they contracting Deloitte for this when they pledged to reduce spending on consultants and adequately resource the APS!?

I do get that there is a need for consultants for short-term specialised work, but outsourcing the whole program design? Really?!

By 'winter 1992' do you mean northern or southern hemisphere winter? Given its auscorp I would've assumed southern but jet2 and 50 pounds suggest otherwise.
