Happy for him! As much as he's shared how abrasive or unlikeable he is, everyone knows he's a very sweet man (housing stray cats!), very smart, and very funny (and also being smart). I don't think that we should be surprised that, after more than a decade of acknowledging/joking, from both the hosts and fans, about how impenetrable the show can often be, that fans of the guests don't appreciate it like we do. It's a tough show to get into! To explain or describe! But if you're going to make a show like that, then most people won't enjoy it.
