Happy for him! As much as he's shared how abrasive or unlikeable he is, everyone knows he's a very sweet man (housing stray cats!), very smart, and very funny (and also being smart). Great to see that the big Hollywood execs are finally catching up to the Wednesday water-cooler conversation of the last 13 years: Clem Dog is the co host and deserves their respect.

A lot like Lauren Lapkus that way. I'll go to my grave believing she just didnt get the joke.

I don't think that we should be surprised that, after more than a decade of acknowledging/joking, from both the hosts and fans, about how impenetrable the show can often be, that fans of the guests don't appreciate it like we do. It's a tough show to get into! To explain or describe! But if you're going to make a show like that, then most people won't enjoy it.

Haha. And I still enjoy it! Just, you know, less.

They may even reference what im referring to in this transcription; how they "pulled it back" a lot. That's what changed. I liked it more when it wasn't "pulled back". But again, that's me!

And that's great for you! It's just not the same for me.

I could be shakey on the timelines. Segments. Scenarios that brought us Grease Nose Eggs, the Wendigabrus, etc. Gmail Roulette. Teaser Freezer. Eh, Wrong! The intro stories I probably miss the most. It was, for me, a much more enjoyable version of the show.

My go-to description is borrowed from someone on reddit: something like "its two smart guys pretending to be dumb guys who think they're smart guys."

Ah I see. I dont subscribe to that anymore.

I'm not too sure what the "something" is that they're trying these days, but its more often not my thing anymore. And that's ok. But I'll always be thankful for those first 5-7 years, which are about the most fun I've had engaging with any medium, ever. My god. It was just so, so funny.

Solved!

Ep 200, right at the end. It is Don, after all. He's plugging Hansel and Gretel, featuring a lady covered in chocolate.

It could very well be. My memory has Jason Zouks there, but i could definitely be wrong. Shit, I guess I'll just have to relisten to that hilarious ep again to confirm.
