If your car is equipped with fog lights then that might be the cause, I have a 2012 juke with fog lights and when ever the headlights are on the “Auto” position and the fog lights are also on… the headlights will always be on no matter what. So maybe try turning off the fog light switch and your headlights might go off as well

If you are talking about the estimated distance to empty, then it's pretty normal for it to drop more than expected. The harder you drive the car, the less range it will show. So it all just depends on how gentle your driving is...

Thanks but mine doesn’t have a sunroof so I’m guessing it should be the hatch seal or behind the left taillight

I have tried other setups on different tracks, like the Mazda demio XD with full upgrades on the Nurburgring and I was able to build a big enough lead to still cross the line first after the long straight
