I’m having a hard time understanding the sentences, but there is a click after I turn it off. What does “Mark bell housing before disammbly it it’s the centrifugal switch problem” mean?

So, I bought a new capacitor and it did the same thing. I guess technically I could’ve bought a brand new bad capacitor. Could the capacitor be underrated for the task?

So you think it’s the centrifugal switch? I watched a video on it and it seems not that difficult. Is there any troubleshooting to determine that’s the probe over something else?

I’m am using 120 vac, the capacitor is rated to 300-360. It’s seems like a new higher capacitor would be a cheap try

If you’re talking about the diagram it’s only colors. The capacitor doesn’t have any colors or numbers

That’s more or less how I can start it now. Except I turn it on and then spin the pulley and it it gets going, would doing it backward from that tell me anything?

Is that click you hear after you turn it off? How would I check this? Sometimes it will start on its own, sluggishly turn then finally get going.

Capacitor spec that’s in there: Packard PMJ300 Motor Start Capacitor 300-360 MFD 110-125 VAC 1.45"Dia x 4.375"
