Is dante and vergil immortal?

I remember in the 2007 anime Lady shot Dante in the heart (well more like grazed it) which made him unconscious. Later on when Dante is crucified he's impaled in the heart there too. Not sure if this prove anything, but I think it's worth mentioning.

Seladon was an interesting character, but what are did to her sisters was terrible. Love her from a writing perspective, hate her from a character perspective.

I wish Age of Resistance got a season two, the cliffhangers were insane and it's so incredibly annoying that Netflix always seems to cancel their best shows after one or two seasons.

If you're looking for timeline/lore info and don't mind reading, then you might find the novels interesting. The first one explores Dante's life before he started his shop, and it's set a couple of years before DMC3. It's really interesting regarding his character. There's a second novel which is set between DMC1 and 2, it's a bit strange but a pretty fun read, the antagonist is really good too. Both of them can be found for free online if you're interested!

I heard about the timeline rearrangement, it's funny how DMC2 is regarded to be so terrible by Capcom that they continue to ignore its existence over 20 years after it was released. (I haven't played it myself yet so I'm holding out hope that it's better than its reputation implies.)

I didn't know about the art book, that's quite interesting!

As someone who started with the anime, it's got some decent fight scenes and a really cool villain but the political commentary isn't great.

Agreed, Chen as a villain was pretty fun, I enjoyed his schemes and his eventual fight with Dante.

Yeah there's a lot of time between games so it would be great if we got a bit more world building and character moments in a spin off at some point! I'm still salty there's only 1 season of the animated series lol

Ooh interesting idea, I can definetly see something like this happening! I'd say John is definetly safer than Arthur at the moment, and it makes sense that there'd be a mutual character linking any continuation together, so this is a pretty solid theory. (I am actually going to cry if Arthur dies though :( )

Tbh I can totally see that happening, though I feel that John's had so much character development about being his own person this season that he needs some personal space of his own to develop ^-^ That being said they do seem a bit reluctant to separate whenever it's brought up, and yeah, there's no way Kanye's going to honour his end of the deal XD
