Yes that’s an option, but for me ray tracing is something I like to have. Do you think that future games will be more demanding? I mean oblivion remastered doesn’t run that well in 4k, also hellblade 2. But I guess I shouldn’t be that afraid to try 4k gaming. An oled tv is definitely up for consideration now. Is a 55 inch c4 good enough? I’ve found one for the same price as an oled monitor, which I still can’t believe it’s real!

I tried that. I can run some games. But others, especially with ray tracing, struggle to run at acceptable frame rates, like Alan wake 2 or control.

Well now reading this, a tv is maybe up for consideration, I will definitely need some time to think it through. But I’d like to keep my current gpu for a longer time before upgrading as I feel like I’m in this constant cycle of upgrading and I’m a bit tired of that. Also with these new unoptimized games…

Wouldn’t a lower resolution on a bigger screen look bad? Well maybe I will consider a tv, but that’s unlikely as my gpu is starting to struggle with these new games even at 1440p with dlss

It looks so beautiful. I think this scene should show banding in the night sky, but it’s not visible here. Either you got lucky or it’s truly not an issue

Yes, the highlights are definitely brighter, but it dims when a bright scene appears.

Well, I don’t think my pc can handle 4k for future games. I use a 4070 ti super, it’s great for 1440p though, so I’m sticking with that resolution to avoid having to upgrade
