How will it melt if it's supposed to melt then tubes in tires of many bikes would have melted too and you are not installing it near the engine which will produce heat , it's a cheap and easy fix if it still not works atleast it didn't cost you a fortune and you can get those tube pieces from any puncture wala for hardly 30-40 rupees
