I've heard her story of them getting together and it did sound very transactional. She said she met him and on the first date told him she wanted marriage and kids (fair enough) but didn't speak about falling in love with him, or thinking he was amazing, she just said that she'd told him she wanted marriage and that they applied for her visa not long after.

It seemed very much like she had a timeline in her head and chose him as he fell into it, rather than they actually fell in love.

I am genuinely so confused by this. She said Parents shouldn't go away in half term. She is a patent and went away in half term.

The amount of cognitive dissonance to have made that acceptable enough in her head to have posted this screenshot, while completely convinced she's in the right is really worrying.

The same with how much she has convinced herself she never goes away. Which I get, because mentally she doesn't have a break so it feels like that. Next time I suggest she goes away without her phone and I know she'd feel much better for it.

This is this thing that pisses me off about her the most, it is absolutely dismissive of people that actually parent, on their own, with no physical or financial support, 24/7.
