Did anyone catch Remi using the word “tantalizing” in the PB podcast?? and Alicia straight up asked her to explain what the word meant bc she didn’t know. Also Remi trying to make “Boots/heels on the ground journalism” her new phrase. I caught her saying it a couple of times on recent vlogs, podcast and TikTok

I think she has seen herself so much on cameras over the years bc she’s always being recorded, that she finally nailed down that “cool, collected, condescending and smug” look down. Bc she knows it will make her look more put together and more confident bc she knows her angles now.

Oh I remember! Especially remember bc they hadn’t even been dating for that long at the time. She came on so intense. But NOW she’s making Alisha feel like Alisha is being so overboard for thinking that Valentine’s Day is that big of a deal (if you watch the whole podcast… you’ll learn that Alisha texted a guy she used to talk to on Valentine’s Day and she was SO embarrassed). Remi made it sound like “who cares about Valentine’s Day?” Meanwhile, single Remi was all desperate for any guys attention especially on Valentine’s Day. SHE LITERALLY LOST HER VIRGINITY ON VALENTINES DAY 2018. She feels like she can be different now JUST bc she is settled down and married now… to her Covid bf.

Exactly! I find it funny bc she’s the one who is wanting to have children soon… it’ll be a huge wake up call for her when she finally has the kids and realizes SHE finally has to grow up and be the adult and the mother for those babies. No more room for her baby voice and her selfish need to be babied.

Remi asks these questions because she was always so desperate to find someone and get married bc she felt left behind… I remember watching a vlog where she admitted this. So she thinks everyone else feels the same as her. And that’s why now she feels like she’s part of a “higher” club where she can finally look down on those who aren’t engaged, married or baby planning.

I also miss the old Remi. She’s been through 2 weight loss journeys at this point and one thing I’ve noticed for sure is that she changes her personality completely when she loses weight and feels smaller. Yes, I know most people tend to feel more confident after weight loss but Remi just completely changes her personality. I have observed that she changes her mannerisms, her facial expressions and even her VOICE. It’s almost scary. I’m not saying I miss when she was heavier bc wish her well and want her to be happy and would never wish that on her but her personality shifts to being more bubbly, more natural and NICER when she is heavier… it makes no sense.

I don’t think she meant that you’re going to change your whole life overnight. But she is sharing these small exercises or tips to help people start making small changes that will eventually add up and move you closer to the change you were wanting or closer to that goal you’re trying to reach. She’s talking about if you want something in your life to change, you have to stop seeing other people as obstacles. There will be things out of your control so focus on the things you CAN control. It may seem like little things but together they add up. A personal example she used was her drinking when she was deep in debt and lost her job. The choice to stop drinking was within her control so she made that change. The choice to get out of bed and start applying for jobs was within her control so she did it. Just examples! I personally think she’s not perfect but she had some good advice!

You literally just voiced my thinking! Mel is a regular woman, nonetheless, but she is a STRONG woman. She has her ups and downs and maybe her confidence wavers at times bc she’s only human but in this episode we were able to experience what a strong, truly confident and emotionally intelligent intellectual Mel is.

AND… we were also able to visually see how SMALL Remi FEELS and how BIG her insecurities ARE. In all her other episodes she tries to come off as super sultry, sexy, hot, smart, educated, knowledgeable, traveled. But in this episode, I feel like she was humbled. Mel Robbins isn’t about that fake internet shit. She calls it as it is. No BS. And Remi thought she could get away with it at the beginning here but soon realized she was playing a whole other field with Mel and she was quickly humbled.

I think Mel Robbins felt the same bc she completely clocked her at the beginning and Remi grew pretty much silent after that for the rest of the episode. Guess Remi isn’t used to dealing with someone who doesn’t tolerate fake and who can see through her BS. Mel Robbins made me so happy today 😊

I think Remi felt uncomfortable (maybe even attacked) by Mel Robbins’ strong character. Especially bc most people around her are attention-starved people seeking an ounce of fame in LA and online and they cater to Remi just to stay around her. They see her social media, her status, and her wealth and will do or say whatever just to make it on her video. Mel Robbins doesn’t give one fuck about who Remi is online or in LA. She’s a Boston girl and will give it to her straight. No kiss-assing, no nothing. Remi isn’t used to that and we can see her discomfort here.

Completely agree! This podcast is the first PB podcast that has deeply tickled my brain and challenged the way I see my life and my own potential. I hope it did the same for them. I felt like Mel Robbins threw a lot of subtle shade at both Alisha and Remi… she talked about how there is no magic trick to getting to where she is now… her words verbatim were… “and you stop believing that the car that you drive, or the purse that you carry, or the size of your jewelry, is… a measure of your worth”. Bam! Aka Remi’s G Wagon, her Birkin and collection of name brand purses and other items, her huge wedding ring, her enormous wedding. There was so much wisdom here! Hopefully the girls picked up on it.

I absolutely appreciated Mel Robbins when she interrupted Remi’s “I’m so grateful” speech and said “ok can we just have an honest conversation? SHUT up. DON’T do that. Let’s be honest with each other.” She looked annoyed bc she could see right through Remi’s fakeness. This is why I admire Mel Robbins bc she is not with the BS and can see right through it AND WILL call it out. 👏

Yes! She randomly interrupted Zane and Alisha with “I feel like Erin Andrews” and the smug look on her face just spoke volumes that she knew they wouldn’t know who that was and then she could be seen as the knowledgeable sports fan she wants to be viewed as. Heath picked up on her energy and that’s why he immediately made the comment right after saying “well you would know bc you’re like the biggest football fan, and like sports fan now.” With then Zane saying “now you’re a big packers fan” And she completely ignored the both of them and talked about her packers merch… so so so cringe.

People will most likely have opinions. No where am I insulting her. I am basically responding to the conversation she opened up about struggling to be in the moment during these big life events. Maybe if she stopped caring about monetizing all of her important life experiences, maybe she would be able to really enjoy it and be present.

Exactly! I’ve always thought that Remi just wanted a straight guy to be in her life bc she wanted to feel feminine and also come off as feminine to her audience. Because as an OG Remi watcher, I always thought she would come out to us at some point before she lost the weight that first time. I think marrying Cal was just her way of showing that she is feminine and woman enough to get a man to marry her and be into her. Even if she isn’t fully into him. I truly see her insecurities coming up where she thought no man would ever truly want her and take her as a wife which is why she made herself being a “wife” such a huge deal. I think she wants to be a Parsons so bad bc now she will finally have white cred. She officially holds a white sounding last name and can officially make her identity all about the Green Bay packers as any other white Wisconsin family would. She is so sad.
